First of all, if you opened this, thanks already for takin the time to do that. All of the songs were produced by me using FL Studio (except for 2 which I purchased the instrumentals). All recording was done at home using an M-audio firewire 410, and an M-audio Luna Microphone with a Presonus Eureka Pre-amp.
If your on Myspace you can check my profile at http://WWW.MYSPACE.COM/COLTONBROWN1. So without further delay, Here are the links...I hope somebody enjoys at least one of them. ok - I didn't listen to the tracks, but why the incredibly cheesy, unimaginative track names? |

Haven't listened to your tracks - bsy right now, but I will likely take a preview at some point.
Regarding Snooky he is a self confessed hip hop hater - so you would be wisest to ignore anything he says & don't respond to him, else he'll just pollute your thread with meaningless, ignorant & bigoted circular arguments. |

Well, I'm a T.I.P fan. Your style is very similar. The mix is good. The drums could use some more eq and compression to make them stand out more. Good tracks- Stick with it... |

Thanks for taking the time to listen mn. And thanks for the feed.
BTW, some of the tracks were just havin fun and others are more serious, so don't just judge them by one song and write the rest of them off. |

I just stopped in to say that though the song links work fine for me for some reason your myspace page, either something on the page or the song links, crash my browser; I use Opera. Probably not a big deal to you but I thought I'd let you know. |

Yea Bambooman, you're right...but It was supposed to 13 "New" ones but I got tired of uploading songs last night and went ahead and posted what I had...There is more new ones up now, but I'm too lazy to link to them right now. Maybe in the morning.
And runagate, I think I read something about you have to use tables for html in Opera (maybe, but it was something along those lines) and I know I removed some of the tables from the html in order to make my myspace page fit like I wanted it to. Thanks for the heads-up, I'll get that fixed when I read up some more about whatever it really is thats causing that, if not for you, then for the next person who might be using opera. |

Yeah, I figured that you'd eventually want it to work for Opera peeps - as it stands it pretty much instantly crashes the browser and thus there's a decent chance they won't even remember how they got to your page. |

I'm listening through right now. I like a lot of these tracks - they're really well put together and recorded. I am missing a little bit of bass in the first one - I kind of wanted a long 808 kick layered with the (short) kick you already have in there. Otherwise, well produced and good sounding. |

Thanks Ian, and I know exactly what you mean, and I did have a second 808 in it the first time I mixed it, but then after listening to both mixes and letting other people listen, I think they (and I) liked the mix "without" the extra bass because it just makes the track sound more "raw" which is basically what we were aiming for anyways, just a basic beat to get your head noddin, nothin real fancy. Plus it sounds better in these little hole-in-the-wall clubs around our area because they all play their music too loud and their speakers really suck and bottom out with a lot of low bass, so when our song comes on it sounds really clean compared to all the others. So basically I think I did it as a little experiment also...lol. |
