Ive seen a few videos now where the studio engineer "flips" the mic over,so instead of the mic being upright and the lead coming from the bottom the whole mic is turned over.
I can understand this is probably personal preference but what are the benifits of this? Ive wanted to know this for so long! Cheers S |

to hang/place a mic suicide-style
has nothing to do with gettin' any benefit from it. the only benefit would be, that there's no real need: for a clip, stand, or shockmount etc. "some people say" when using a tube-mic for longer sessions, suicide-style keeps the heat away from the capsule etc. ---- KVR a day keeps the doctor away. |
