This looks like a useful sampler, almost a simplified version of Halion Smile, but there's one thing that I ran into immediately that I don't like. Sad

I can't seem to grab the handles for the start and end points, so you have to adjust them by dragging or entering the values. This won't be a problem if the handles move instantly when changing the values, but they move after you change the values (in the case of dragging you need to let go of the left mouse button). So setting the start and end points visually is almost impossible, because you don't know where exactly the handles will end up when you enter the values. And when you want to set the start and end points by listening and repeatedly triggering the sample from your MIDI controller, you need to be able to adjust the values without letting go of the left mouse button.

you CAN grab the handles, they are just really fiddly. the "hot" zone is very small...

This is looking like a fantastic tool for the price. I'm already trying it out and I'm excited about the propagation feature!

Thanks!

Page 4 of the included manual:

6) Controller: Allows external MIDI control for Volume, Expression, Reverb, etc.

Also the start and end points? In steps of various sizes (large/medium/small)?

And how about zero point crossings?

Yes, if anyone who got this makes a VSTi or two, just drop me an email via the link to the left of this message. I know a tjere might be a few people who might be interested if they saw the output of this.

I'm new to KVR forums but have followed them for years, I'm right now getting ready to produce soulful/funky and gospel house, and some other things in other genres.

Thanks for the suggestion. That's really a problem. We update the waveform only when mouseup because the changes of start, end or loop point will lead to head buffer reload. So in order to enhance the sampler performace, we do this reload only after you decide where the points are.

However, I think there should be a way to make this more user-friendly. Will fix this glitch in the next version.

And we are going to add a external wave viewer for more detail points selection and loop area selection. This tool can be called by double clicking the waveform inside maize sampler. But this feature will take some time.

That sounds like a good idea. Will this allow us to zoom into the waveform for closer precision?

Can the developers let us know how things are progressing? A few words now and then will keep our focus on this sampler, which is so far very interesting.

We are developing the 1.3 version now. Up to now, the finished features are: low pass filter and ADSR filter envelope, reverb detail parameters control, layer names...
