So, I was searching all over the web and just can't find anything, so sorry for the dumb question..
I need a simple WAV sample player, that would just load few wavs and then play them on click - http://www.kvraudio.com/get/1585.html this seemed ideal, but it doesn't work in my Live.. Can anyone help me? Thanks.. |

Hi, I must admit to finding this page a little bit disappointing on content. A lot of the links are now out of date, there's a lot of waffle and some of the links are samples of commercial libraries rather than free libraries in their own right.
I may be telling people what they already know, but freesound.org: http://www.freesound.org/searchText.php ...has reams of content- granted- some of it not in pristine quality, but some certainly is. Plus the website has a built in player so you can try before you download. I've found it suitable for loops, samples, field recordings, drums, you name it. |

The same freesound.org as on the first post of this thread, then? http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=37272 ---- To laymen, software development is something akin to wizardry. Neither time, nor effort are involved. If software is missing features they want, or has bugs, it is solely because someone has been too lazy to wave their magic wand. |

Forgive me for on my first visit here not quite spotting a 6 year old post on a 19 page thread though. Freesound.org is free, it's full of good stuff, so very pertinent to the topic. |

There are a fair few free downloads on Clickproduce samples wise. Although paying for some of the packs is worth it as I find the general quality to be that much better. |

I found this and looks to good to be true so far? We are talking about sample packs of roland, sequential circuits, Seil, korg and other which are all free and public domain.
http://modularsamples.com/?q=node&page=1 The file sizes range from about 150mb to a few Gb's and for me they are just too big for my connection. So I installed my download manager and it would not download those files ....mmm...... I must say it would take a lot of work and time to put those sample packs together. Anyway, I did come across some very good quality Korg M1 drum samples from this very old site http://www.hammersound.net/hs_soundfonts.html I came across this good Cello Solo (kertzweil?) soundfont from http://www.ethanwiner.com/ewsf2.html |

Hi,
modularsamples.com is my site and I assure you, everything is above board and legit! Sampling synthesizers has become something of a obsession for me over the last couple of years, but I'm still learning so I don't feel it would be right to charge money for a less than perfect product. That said, I do have a couple of commercial products for those who want to support the site. I'm not sure why your download manager can't grab the files, but if you want me to look into it let me know which manger you are using and I'll check it out. |
