After many experiments, here is an advanced version, VSTi for Windows, 9 presets ready, lot of controls to have fun with.
As usual I'm looking forward to your feedback or questions.
The sound is weird:

fantastic, i've always wanted to hear what VOSIM sounded like.
i wonder what else could be added to extend it as it seems you have most things covered in the presets.
have to dig out the computer music tutorial

thanks everybody, I'll check the spikes,
maybe the 5 ADSRs are a bit limiting, they should be 6 stages envs
edit: checked in Cantabile Lite 1.2.0.1256,
no spikes here, if you used a custom presets or something else let me know thanks
formants are subtle, with fine tweaking of Tone and PitchTrack you can get a of sounds,...as it seems you have most things covered in the presets

im digging it out too! It could be nice to have a list of vsts covering all the weird synth theory covered there, i thought a lot of that was only available as supercollider patches or something.knot0fvipers wrote:fantastic, i've always wanted to hear what VOSIM sounded like.

just as note I didn't use the pure VOSIM algorithm in this synth, anyway I can say 80% is it,
BTW I just made a nice preset of chorus morphing into strings pad (all very synthetic)

liqih, i spent more with it, it really is f**king sick. :)right now i have something going that sounds like steampipe from reaktor somehow...
seems like a way to get into it is just go through the presets and drop out each...vosim generator thing, move params around and see what happens.
any chance you could give a dirty rundown of the signal path/flow?
like what is fmish doing?
