This looks perfect for use in Bidule. Thanks a lot for putting in the effort to go multi-platform this year, too. |

this is a really great tool
and thanks for supporting the mac formats one problem I have encountered: using the mac VST in Live 6, when closing the hypercyclic GUI, it stops sending MIDI. This problem does not affect the AU. thanks for such a fun and useful plug! |

to all, thanks for the kind words so far!
to Parma, I tested the VST on OSX with Live 6.0.7 and alas could not reproduce the problem you mentioned. When I close the hypercyclic ui, it continues fine with generating its output. I'm running on intel mac, OSX 10.4.10. Is your environment different? Could you tell me the steps to repro this behaviour? Thx. |

Just wanted to show some love. Great concept with great execution. One of my favourites of the bunch. |

I just wanted to comment and say thanks for supporting us Linux users. I really appreciate developers like you that support Linux!

Thx. here's what I did: - I open hypercyclic on a MIDI channel. - Set MIDI output to the IAC Bus. - Turn MIDI monitoring OFF for this channel. - Open Operator in another MIDI track. - Turn MIDI monitoring to ON on the operator track. - Run Live and hypercyclic. - Everything runs fine UNTIL - I close the hypercyclic UI - the operator track continues to receive MIDI for a couple of beats and then freezes on the last MIDI note sent. - If I re-open the UI, everything works again Like I said, this doesn't happen with the AU, only the VST. I'm running Live 6.0.10 and OSX 10.4.10 on a MacPro. Hope this helps. If not, no big deal for me because the AU works fine. This is a really great plug - there is nothing else like it for the mac! |

hi Parma,
ah, I see. You know, there is actually no need to use the IAC bus with the VST version. The VST standard supports direct midi-out from a plug-in to the host. So it's better to route midi within Live itself than via the detour of the external IAC bus. That way you get much lower latency (none actually) and you can use the render function. Here's how you do it: -in Live, set up hypercyclic on midi track 1 -in Live for midi track 1, set "Monitor" to "Auto" -in HC, set the "midi from" combo to "VST/AU Host" and the channel to 1 (or, alternatively, try the demo chords) -in HC, set the "midi to" combo to "VST Host" and the channel to 1 -in Live, add a second midi track with Operator (or whatever synth) on it -in Live, for track 2, set "Midi From" to "1-MIDI" -in Live, for track 2, set the combo immediately below the previous one to "hypercyclic" -in Live, for track 2 set Monitor to "In" and you're set. |

Lovin the standalone version but unfortunately can't run the vst in Cubase SL or the AU in Live Lite. I get an exception in the module error just after the gui appears. I'm on a ppc (G5 imac) by the way, any ideas? |

Is there an issue with the GUI on Win98/ME ? I can't display a GUI. The host window opens but it is as if it contains something that has no vertical size and is bigger than the screen horizontally.
Sounds really great. |

Alas no, the vst doesn't work in Live 5.0.5 ( a light version that came with my controller). It has the same quit on apperance of the gui. |
