I came so I could t0t4lly pwn the plaice, as I recall.. Oh, actually vurt beat me to it (not literally, like I'm not scarred, or anything  )
Looking at my first posts, it appears I joined to give... My first posts are in tobybear's forum helping out. A bunch of early posts have disappeared, but I did what I could to get my post count up quickly so I could post some reviews for NTrack and Console. I remember getting to my 1000th post after 2 years, I now seem to easily put on between 1000 and 1500 a year.. The advent of 'Quick reply' was fantastic 
Quite how vurt has such a high post count is beyond me, I think I could only get the same by replying '  ' or OnePingOnly to EVERY thread in the place (t0t4lly pwning, as it were). But John manages lengthy intelligent posts as well... (as doped out weird ones )
