nice to hear, btw there will be an update of Rescue with some further improvements in the next days ... Nice (i do love Rescue, too) ! Btw, do you recommend esla for specific situations or material ? (I guess that with transient smoothing it won't be the best choice for punchy drums, would you use it rather on acoustic recordings, or vocals, or just basically "anything and use your ears" ?) > edit : i should have read the manual ! spuddle wrote: What would be good uses for a plug like this? Thanks Generally, you can use these types of plugins to add harmonic content, or add frequencies that reinforce the track's fundamental sound, to create a more complex, stronger sound, with the pleasing effects we're used to hearing from vintage analog gear, preamps tape machines, etc.
So this may help your bass, guitar or drums to "sit better" in a mix; I routinely use saturation plugins for exactly that. ---- ![]() |

Bonus! Thanks for this!
I've been using Rescue a lot. I found it funny not much was said about it after it's release. Anyway, great plug and I'm sure this one will be orgasmic! ---- I still think, your punctuation sucks, and your spelling isn't cool! So there... |

On my own I'm using TesslaSE all over my tracks now, a little here and there. That way it helps improving depth perception of the whole mix too. Synth lines which suffer from too much digital or thin sounding are good candidates as well as tracks where transients needs to get tamed. I even use this on the 2bus between compressor and limiter so the limiters work ain't that hard because some of the transients are already "converted" into nice sounding spectral energy.
When not pushed too hard this device is rather clean and transparent sounding and it intentionally lacks the "muddy" part of analogue ... Yes, I love my new baby ... |

nice to hear, btw there will be an update of Rescue with some further improvements in the next days ... I now tried Tessla on a few different sources - it does wonders on some of them like e.g. e-piano and is very subtle on others Great plugin - thanks again! i do that myself! almost at least...i mean if the company released only 2 or 3 plugs i put it in the specific task folder (i.e. task/brand like /Compressors/SinusWeb Peakcomp) otherwise i have a folder called FX bundle where i put brands developing loads, Voxengo for instance ATM i filed the couple of VST here under Bootsy, but i guess there another denomination for you line of plugs, Bootsy? really man, nice plugs both , i underline again ... thanx Peace ---- www (dot) dubadelica (dot) com Food for woofers since 1996 |
