No prob:

http://www.u-he.com/RandomizeNoNoise.h2p

You can save a patch as "h2p extended" and check out things in WordPad. It shoudln't be a problem to i.e. add stuff to keep volume and panning under control.

Thanks muchly for that Urs - seems it was a mere language problem at my end Wink - when you said previously to paste it 'behind the >' I was adding it above rather than below.

Great - is there an available list of parameters? In addition one other thing I discovered, completely by accident as I'd downloaded the wrong bank, was that ZebraCM will actually load Zebra patches (or I assume an approximation of given ZebraCM's limitations in comparison to the full Zebra) but many have the same Noise Osc issue as I was having with the Randomiser - is it possible for me to add the same kind of script onto the h2p rather than editing each patch by hand?

Thanks again for your time Urs Cool

Hehe, I wouldn't load Zebra2 patches into ZebraCM. This might "bend" some internal parameters which will not be saved with patch/song/project. Thus when you reopen it, it'll sound different because these internal parameters are reset to their default values...

As I said - save any patch as "h2p extended" (in the presets panel)

I need some help.

I can't for the life of me figure out how to open this in ZebraCM. Or any other .h2p bank for that matter.

My host (Live 7) will only let me open fxp, and in ZebraCM's interface, if i change the preset format, the list doesn't get updated, it's always the same patches i see. I must be really thick.

In ZebraCM (not in Live!) save a patch called "Put_h2p_here". Quit Live. Search your hard drive for "Put_h2p_here". In that directory, put your h2p files. There may be subdirectories, no prob. Open Live. Open ZebraCM. Check ZebraCM's internal preset list. There you go.

I asked earlier about having the randomizer leave the pitch of the oscillators alone, and the following was a helpful response... the only problem is I'm not really a programmer so I don't know how to do this... It is fairly easy, or fairly hard?

writw another script for adjusting the pitch f.ex. , you can use it on any other patch..or put the 2 lines of that at the end of your script Wink

It's fairly easy.

Save patch in .h2p extended, look out for lines like "#cm=Osc1" and corresponding tune/detune settings. Add these for each osciullator to the end of the randomizer, just as I did with the noise volume.

Later,

Urs can you please add randomize button in the upcoming version of Zebra something like in filterscape?

Don't know yet. A generic randomizer (as in Filterscape) won't happen, rather a set of more refined scripts. There are some ideas for making scripts launch easier (buttons, MIDI), but nothing yet set in stone.

Hi all,

I composed a short "song" using presets generated from Urs's randomize script. I hope you enjoy it: Random Musings. All presets used were randomly generated. Oh what fun!
