Le cri d'amour de la libellule / The cry of love of the dragonfly
http://www.pompougnac-daniel.com/06tele ... _libel.mp3
Imagine.
You're at the edge of a pond. Twilight.
You listen herds of mosquitos flying in fighting formation.
You listen cries of love of mad dragonflies.
You see splashes with worrying eyes.
Yes. Noises and animals of a pond.
I sing a strange song.
Italian feeling (I like Vivaldi).
An old friend, Nicolas, is playing mandolin on this piece at the point 2.31. (There's also a midi mandolin in background). Heartbreak to 2.55
French feeling
It's a piece with accordions (pampoumpam, pampoupam, pampoupam)
... and many, many classical instruments.
The samples of the pond aren't mine. Thank's to Freesound.
Lyrics
-----------------------------
Bam, dababam, papapa papam, papapapapam...
-----------------------------
Je me baisse en frôlant le clapot,
Transhumance des moustiques en troupeaux.
Je me baisse en touchant la morte-eau,
Le soleil se déchire en lambeaux

This was really fun. And well organized. Actually had a very sad emotional vibe going on about it. you have a sweet voice and the mandolin at 231 is wicked.

This is by far my favorite song by you ever, daniel.
Though I cry out for some rhythmic variation in the solo-ish mandolin bridge.
One of my favorite sample-outros, too

Thank's for your kind comments
No, I've tried to understand some weeks how is the play of this instrument (accordion), listening some CD (Amélie Poulain, etc...) and I've used 2 SF2 banks.
In some days, a friend of mine is ok to play on this song with his accordion.
I don't listen these variations ? On the mandolin or on the general rythm ? Points ?
Thank's for your help, it's interesting to improve this piece
And your comment is great.
Oh, I forget : what's "sample-outros", please ? "Outros" ?

Can you help me, Runagate ? What's "cry out" ? "Deplore" ?Though I cry out for some rhythmic variation in the solo-ish mandolin bridge.

Sorry, I forget my English is obscure even for a native speaker.
Rhythm: I am American so un-syncoppated, unvarying 8th notes never sound right to me while played for that long. I know that in Europe, both folk and classical, that sort of repetition is not unusual, so it may just be me.
Outro: I thought it was a great use of a sample as an outro, on of my favorites.
Sure is well mixed
