Looking for something easy to use and get instant gratification. not looking for a vocoder.
It doesn't matter what it does and I have nothing particular in mind.
Thanks

Hey this is a really well timed thread. I was just thinking about the same thing. No vocoder needed either. I have Octavator, great plugin.

I think Voxengo Voxformer is fantastic. Excellent for getting your vocals to 'pop' out of the mix.

add Variverb to the rest of those V's.ttoz wrote:vogue, voxciter, voxformer, visualvox
T2 Icarus is a must. SonicCore SCOPE is the most. As heart of studio it has my vote, cause XITE-1 is all she wrote.

About the plug-in world there are so good products around, for example voxengo, sonalksis just to name few.
If you are looking for an hardware simulation, uad products are very good (but you need a pci card)
I'm the developer of nebula, and this is my workflow. If I like a particular vocal track coming from a particular producer, I check in the magazine interview what he used.
If I'm lucky enough, I find the exact hardware device in the library, or simply I ask someone to sample it.
There is even a site, www.nebula-programs.com (not linked with my company) dedicated to libraries and sharing.
Our emulations are not perfect, but in a lot of cases they are good enough.
Drawbacks: CPU load in nebula is quite high.
Drawbacks II: not instant gratification really but a good vocal track.
