but where did it come from? Was it really from Europe? Quote: Quote: ...I think the problem could be that Wibu appears to have only one single distributor in the whole of America ( http://www.wibu.us/ ). I'd have thought it would be simple enough to send a few cases over here. Unless they're not selling that many and aren't as motivated. I don't know what kind of distributor this is - perhaps not much more than a mail box - it appear they don't even have telephone - the only number they give on the website is a German one... ...so in the light of all this I guess they really aren't selling more than just a few of those dongles on your side of the pond. ---- 'I don't know what makes XT2 sound at least 15% better than XT1, but it simply does.' - DJT http://www.myspace.com/rustymagicmusic |

but where did it come from? Was it really from Europe? It looked like it, and had the same address: Printzstrasse 4 76139 Karlsruhe Germany ---- We escape the trap of our own subjectivity by perceiving neither black nor white but shades of grey |

they use CodeMeter as far as I'm aware of - do not YellowTools use WibuKey instead? (same company, different product) ---- 'I don't know what makes XT2 sound at least 15% better than XT1, but it simply does.' - DJT http://www.myspace.com/rustymagicmusic |

nope, CodeMeter is a product by Wibu, just as WibuKey is (that's what I meant when I wrote 'same company, different product'). ---- 'I don't know what makes XT2 sound at least 15% better than XT1, but it simply does.' - DJT http://www.myspace.com/rustymagicmusic |

which is kind of strange because samplitude 10 ships with yellow tools Independence le. Usually I would assume the intent would be to upgrade to the full independence which uses wibukey I guess, so I have to wonder if they might share some things or be interchangeable ---- I never learned anything from being right Hink 2012 RIP Reason L. and Ian B |

Yes, I'm wondering the same thing - both are based on the same technology, according to Wibu. ---- 'I don't know what makes XT2 sound at least 15% better than XT1, but it simply does.' - DJT http://www.myspace.com/rustymagicmusic |

one cool thing is codemeter can run on a network, doesn't matter much to me though. But for some that might be cool ---- I never learned anything from being right Hink 2012 RIP Reason L. and Ian B |
