Hi there,
I have a VST I'm writing, and I'm hitting an error with aodix where it loads it fine, but if you save a project and the open that project up, aodix reports the error 'unable to locate plugin.' I was just wondering if anyone here was familiar with the error and had an idea as to what might cause it? thanks much, eric |

Oh great, thanks zaf -- although unless you cleverly disguised it as an ad for viagra, I'm not seeing it there. Any chance you could send me a PM via KVR?
thanks much, eric |

Indeed ... well, I just needed that you send me a compiled dll of your plugin so I test it here. Usually this kind of problem comes from memory/heap corruption, meaning that there is some part of the code causing instability. Maybe it's something else. When you send me the dll (put it in a zip or rar file please), I'll take a look.

Oh, ha, yes I got that email -- did you not get my reply? Here's a link: http://www.angryredplanet.com/temper/TemperVST.zip No install procedure, just unzip in your plugins directory. Memory corruption never occurred to me, I figured there must just be some setup thing I'm not doing. Well at any rate, any info is much appreciated. thanks, eric |

Ok I got your plug-in.
I've answered to your e-mail, but in case you don't receive it : 2 possibilities : - memory corruption leading to file corruption - some "0" value in the plug-in definition, probably "number of parameters", so try creating a dummy parameter (VST automation parameter) in your plug-in so that the plug-in reports to host "1" instead of "0". Please tell me if that works... Thanks |

Zaf, thanks much for the help -- it's working. I detailed what was going on in an email, if you don't get that and have any questions let me know.
