no gui appears using Reaper in WINE with Linux.
I can still use the default reaper gui though and I like the sound of this one

This is a really nice compressor. The high end roll-off sounds perfectly natural to me.
This seems to be a drumcentric compressor, which nicely meshes with my habit of only using obvious compression on drums.

I must admit that the hf rolloff sounds very tasteful. For that cases where it is inapplicable you can get an interesting result by putting an exciter after Rough Rider instead of an eq.

This thing is pretty damn cool on individual drum hits as well! You get a very nice "smack!" to everything, kind of SSLish but much better.
