The Neurosynth Pack, which has been a work in progress since 2003, will be discontinued as of Monday, October 13 2008. Please refer to this thread for inquiries as to my ceasing of development:
http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=3270 183 The pack will remain available for the next few days, so grab it while it's still around. The entire pack, which consists of 8 instruments can be found here: http://www.psychicmodulation.com/neuro3.html After the pack is discontinued I will release two of the earliest Neurosynths as freeware, the rest will be gone for good, and http://www.psychicmodulation.com will remain an archive for the freeware plugins that I have released throughout the years. Thank you to all who have supported Psychic Modulation in the past Best regards, Jack Last edited by Jack R on Sun Oct 19, 2008 1:40 pm; edited 2 times in total |

Respect and thanks for the great plug ins! Fun plugs and always found the GUIs to be eye candy.
Have fun making music! |

Just out of curiosity why aren't you releasing all of the Neurosynths for free? I'm not complaining or requesting just curious.
Good luck with what ever you do next and thanks for your contributions to the world of noise. p.s:// I always dug the GUIs too. |

I just feel that it would only be right to leave something special behind for those who have supported my efforts through the years, a secret arsenal if you will. I just like the idea of leaving some things with a bit of mystery. There seems to be a lack of that in the easy access world of freeware. |

All the best Jack! Your plugins are great!
As someone who paid for the pack, I am glad that Jack isn't releasing the whole lot as freeware. Yes, it would be a great gift to those who didn't pay, but to those who did it would feel like a load of dollars down the pan (just like I felt when Jack Dark released a load of his payware plugins as freeware) |

I'm sorry you are closing down and that more people didn't support your efforts if that's why you are stopping.
I was hoping to be able to buy some things in the future after the family finally gets out of the hole. I still grab Cubix for percussion and still haven't exhausted its tweakability; it can do some cool note manipulation, too. Your guis are great. Maybe you can put a Donate button up if it isn't there already. Blessings to you. Jim |

Sad news! Seems like your stuff got a little passed by here at KVR over the last year or so, but I love Aethereal. It's one of my secret weapons. I think I may own Meteorite too. Great sounds, great UIs and they were just damn interesting instruments.
As a previous Psychicmodulation customer I'd have no problem with you giving the lot away at this point. I got and get a lot of enjoyment out of my purchases. In the big picture, it seems more of a shame to have Aethereal die to make some people feel they didn't get ripped off. I hate the idea of abandonware, especially when it's something that's really good. (I'm still mad at Native Instruments for Vokator!) Just please don't do the Jack Dark going out of business sale first. I bit on that and I did feel very stupid when he released them all as freeware soon after. I didn't mind the fact that I had purchased a few of this instruments and effects and now he was giving them away. I minded that he got a few extra bucks out of me for stuff that was mostly rehashed crap AND THEN GAVE IT AWAY FOR FREE. Not even after a year or so. Like in a few weeks. Bad form. Anyway, it's your work and if anyone is thinking of getting one or all of your creations I highly recommend them. In a world full of rehashed trance synths Psychicmodulation instruments are a breath of fresh air (that came out of an alien's HVAC system) |

Oh! no no no NO!
Im really sorry to read this Jack - I LOVE your stuff and always found it FANTASTIC... this is a real blow but of course I wish you all the very best and lots and lots of success and fun with your future plans! I hope you decide to develop again some day... dang this is terrible... we are losing so many talented individuals Thank you for everything over the years - thanks for the support and patience. The best move I ever made was buying the pack Quick question... will the user links to files continue to work or should I DL everything quickly??? Sorry to see you go but happy you will be doing other things that make you happy! All the best mate! Dave |

I am sad and dismayed to hear that you are leaving us. As a neurosynth pack customer, I have always loved your work and downloaded everything you created the moment I received the email.
I do hope you are ok and that finances did not force you to do this. We do live in hard times now a days. All the best to any of your future endeavors. Mike |
