Nice. This style always reminds me of safe dials:-

A quick search for 'safe dial' on the web finds some inspiring pieces like this one. Try and copy that! Smile I wish I knew what font they used...

I have this bookmarked:-

http://www.adobeflash.com/download/fonts/pixel/

Pixel fonts work for very small characters, 'Kontakt' is good example of using them. You have to remember to get the size and alignment right when placing them.

Hi, we've created a resource section of our designers' repository which we have listed a lot of the content gleaned from this, and other various areas of the web.

http://share.teamdnr.net/2011/11/resources-for-knobmanskinma n-the-ui-element-designers/

We have not hosted any of these files because there is a lot of time required to contact each author, but have included the ability to upload your creations for permanent hosting if so desired.

Ah, so a single repository for all of your UI elements is not wanted then?

It's funny - the only two times I have had any encounter with you, you've belittled something we're doing. Knock that off, we're just putting resources together to save you time. Stop looking for things to complain about.

This 81 page thread???

Strange, I certainly can see some "value" (thank you, btw) in having a single repository.

YMMV

Actually this thread was created to be the repository so that the main Knobman discussion thread would stay a bit shorter. Wink

But yeah, makes sense to have a better repo if people want to browse stuff.

Would it be a good idea to have a website with forum or other web2.0 gadgetry dedicated to GUI design, if KVR does not want to make a sub forum for it?

Still the traffic is here already - a subforum on kvr would be the easiest solution.

Actually, I just looked over the article (I didn't write it) and found that just about half of the links are directed to this forum, not nearly all of them.

Also, as others have pointed out, you are more than welcome to scan these pages yourself. Just doing a cursory browsing of the first 25 pages or so reveals that quite a few of the links are not even valid any longer, so it would seem that it is indeed a time-saver to some people.
