[NEW] The ability to modulation all parameters e.g. buttons, XY Pad, Remix Pad - 3

Performance Controls

MIDI learnable program change buttons - 6

Ability to assign names or extended performance notes to individual remix pads. Note: user defined tool-tips could be used - 2

Editors

Improved zoom handling in the editor, e.g. retain zoom level between sources, auto zooms to fill editor on import, support mouse wheel, zoom around current editor location.

[related request] When zooming the display control should stay centred around the current location rather than scrolling to the right each time the scroll bars are used to expand or contract the zoom level - 8

Single file patch saving incorporating sample data. Note incorporating ascii and binary data makes the files difficult to manage in a text editor (see Zebra handling of this i.e. a "do not touch" section, or the MS approach using a zip file format with custom file extension) - 7

Improved key and zone selection in the editor with an optional scrolling list instead of pick list - 4

Save spectral image data for external editing - 4

Some commonality between editors e.g. they should all have Snap X, Snap Y available, multipoint edit in the additive editor, break-point functionality should be the same - 2

Compatibility between Cameleon partial export and Alchemy picture import - 1

Audio scrubbing in the various editors - 1

Zoom in spectral view for more precise editing - 1

Multiple loops points with number of repetitions defined per loop - 1

Limit editors to areas containing data only, auto-upadte of scroll-bar - 1

Adding and removing nodes in MSEGS and other looped sections does not affect the other markers (currently some markers are moved) - 1

Allow the sample editor to zoom in further - 1

Ability to reset MSEG curves to "straight" - 1

Support for pre-defined loop points in wave files - 1

Ability to save marker settings - 1

Browser, File Saving, Import

General browser improvements - 14

The way folders open and close in the file import browser is confusing. The current selection should remain static as folders open and close. The selector should be set to the parent if the folder containing the current selection is collapsed, but the display should remain static i.e. where the user has most recently clicked on the display or used the arrow keys to move focus - 14

Cameleon patch import, convert Cameleon voice files to Alchemy source files - 13

Recognise alias's (OS X) and shortcuts (Windows) in file browser, access to external drives, network drives - 13

Remember the current file browser folder location - 7

Import browser refresh button / GUI level "refresh file list" button. This will put control of the menu refresh in the users hands, and would improve loading times for subsequent opening and closing of the GUI after the initial instance is created - 6

Favourites system for Import Audio browser - 6

OS default browser / optional use of OS file browser to import audio - 6

Export audio to new patch via user specified analysis method - 5

Allow custom path for user samples, improved path handling for samples, full file and path specifications allowing samples to be referenced from external sources, default_path opcode support - needs to cater for OS X / Windows path specification differences, user sample locations - 5

Full stereo preview of sample files in import browser - 4

[NEW] Continuous looping option in the import browser - 2

Mouse wheel support for scrolling the import browser - 2

Improvements to key selection from SFZ opcodes, or use both key and key_pitchcentre - 2

File import browser buttons for default i.e. factory folder, project folder, favourites folder - 2

Better support for MIDI file type imports - 2

Preset bank and category browsing via plus / minus - 2

Allow the user to specify left, right, mono-sum or stereo channels when importing stereo samples to the spectral synthesis block. Currently the left channel is used by default - 1

It is currently too easy to wipe a modified patch e.g. when changing categories - 1

Batch conversion of sounds to granular, additive or additive spectral data e.g. convert whole folder - 1

Save option that copies sample files to preset sub-folder named after the patch - 1

Ability to set default file import browser location - 1

Locked mode for presets that retains various patch details such as original author when saving variations, author history of patches - 1

Rex file support including slices, stretched and snap to quantise - 1

Left and right panes for folders and files - 1

High contrast browser display - 1

Ability to select specific layers for import from a SFZ file - 1

[NEW] Ability to store and recall alternate sample import locations - 1

Source Slots

Drag and drop samples to zone overview for re-synthesis - 3

Load and analyse new sample but do not reset the source parameters, including analysis method- 2

Intelligent allocation of sources i.e. if only one source is active it will be moved to Source A - 1

Morph matrices as morphing sources, with fine control over the amount that each source contributes to the current morph - 1

A routing diagram for sources as relates to morphs and FX, allows quick access to source panels, FX slots - 1

X/Y mixer path control similar to Cameleon - 1

Overview of sources, or zone map e.g. sample via velocity value, pitch / key assignments - 1

Access to source view from zone overview - 1

On the fly re-synthesis for morphing additive sources and regular sources - 1

Advanced cross fade when looping samples allowing an adjustable time between fade points 0 - 300 ms. A temporary cross fade file would be acceptable - 1

Phase control sets the phase of all oscillators in a source, not just the first oscillator - 1

Retain current loop setting when browsing samples via arrows in the Source menu, currently it resets to "off" - 1

Display / GUI

The depth control for tuning parameters in the Mod rack should default to whole semitone increments - reminder

Multiple undo / redo while editing - 7

General improvements or optimisations to graphics displays and updating in various editors e.g. zooming the wave editor should be smoother - 5

[NEW] Setting for default simple mode view - 4

Clear patch except currently enabled sources - 4

Better support for copy + paste e.g. copy and paste source not including sample data - 4

A way to view the original patch authors name after it is removed from the display e.g. an "Info" button like Zerbra would be handy - 3

Better visual feedback of the controllers affected by mod source editing e.g. flashing yellow ring or different colour, or animation to indicate modulation depth in real time - 3

A way of storing and displaying extended patch data for passing information to preset users or players - 1

Vertical + horizontal patch list display - 2

"Edit Modulation" for right click of all knobs - 2

Sub-folder support in the preset selector - 2

3D view of additive data amplitude + partial pitch + time - 2

A / B compare of patch points over time / saves - 1

Loading time optimisation. This is related to the way the folder / file lists are loaded when the GUI Is opened. Doing this when Alchemy is instanced, and providing a "Refresh" button would improve current performance putting list generation in the hands of the user - 2

More information in the source overview view including synthesis types active e.g. use different colours to indicate source type - 2

Ability to create new zones manually as in Chameleon - currently only achievable via SFZ files - 1

An oscilloscope panel switchable between normal and frequency domain display - 1

Alternative organisation of presets based on synthesis type - 1

Preset names sorted in proper alphanumeric order rather than OS default e.g. "1 Pad" would be listed before "10 Pad" without requiring an extra "0" in front of the file name - 1

Update the cutoff and resonance labels with filter type information e.g. Drive, Crush - 1

[NEW] Name display for currently selected LFO based on file name - 1

[NEW] Notification that audio has not loaded when loading projects - 1
