hi, was confused by the site: are these 4 synths freeware?
eg: sb1-3, etc.
seems there's still a charge for dl'ing. :?:
great gui's btw

I think it can be a bit confusing with a couple of sites and different pages, yes .... there are 2 free synths, an older one called Lusus which is a pretty good all round kind of synth, and SB-3 LE which is pretty close to awesome - really easy to play around with, with a really grungy sci-fi soundtrack/drum and bass feel.
Then there is a demo pack with demo versions of SB-1, SB-2, (full version)SB-3, SB-4. The demo versions have a regular (very loud) hiss sound.
I didn't really take much notice of the 1 and 2 as I already have quite a few similar synths but the SB-4 is well worth having a look at.

Hello mztk.
These synthesizers you refer are not freeware (note that they were not announced as freeware anywhere). They were supposed to be out on the start of December but were only released near Xmas. They are my personal synths. They were made for my own use but they are now available to any interested user as I am dedicating myself to my PhD and have no time for these babies... I am giving them away in exchange for a little contribution to help paying the server bills and my work (both as creator and sound designer).
Freeware, as exxy said, are only the Lusus and the SB-3 LE synths. Lusus is hosted in the Ourafilmes.com site (digital audio&video production company) while the SB-3 LE synthesizer is hosted in the Speaker Blower Records site (my drum'n'bass label).
To clear this, the FX Pack, Synths Pack (that you refer) and the TOTAL PACK are hosted in the Speaker Blower Records shop. That's a (online) store shared with Ourafilmes: in there, SBR has mp3/wav music while ourafilmes has VST and WAV samplepacks - not ready yet). FX Pack has a free edition (mono versions) but there are no free synths. Probably you got confused here.

I also love the GUIs. A lot of work was done to achieve that look.
Have fun!

Exxy: about the white noise on the demos: On my system it peaks ± on -20 dB. I think that's not very loud, but it is annoying. Are your speakers too loud? Take care or you'll blow them!

Cheers from (raining) Portugal!

I just ordered the VST synth pack, great price thanks :tu:

SB-3 LE sounds HUGE, so can't say no to get the full version plus SB-4 :)

Just received the notification...

Thanks!
SB-3 is also one of my all-time favourites and I love to play live with it!
Indeed, it has a monster sound - although the LE version misses some knobs (and their functions are locked).
It looks great and it sounds even better!!!
And, to finish, it features stereo detune, which is a feature that can not be found in most synths out there, but sounds beautiful (basically, on each oscillator, you can detune L and R signals).

Just watch your speakers!

Cheers!

Yeah, I like SB-3 it a lot, comes with many usable presets, but it is also easy to tweak my own leads, and the sub level, detune and chorus really fattens up the sound, and make sure they cut through any mix :tu:
