Latest News: Arguru updates Aodix to v4.2.0.1

Hi all,
I'm road testing DW now and it seems the demo will not allow me to import a wave file. Bit hard to test the sampler without this feature. Anyway, I have 2 questions I hope some1 can help with: 1: I don't see how I can Audition/preview a wave file without importing it to DW. I would like to audition it on the keyboard first. Is this possible? 2: Is it possible to "Replace sample" while in playback but also audition/preview "In context" (Meaning any new sample will be auditioned with the original sample paramters, like LFO, pitch etc) Thanks in advance for any help... |

Hi !
You should ask this questions on the Image-Line forums (because Directwave is an Image-Line project since 2006). Here is a link to their forums : http://forum.image-line.com/ Regards |

Like Zaf said, you should ask at IL. However, the answer is no. I have made this same case to Image-Line a couple times. How can you test a sampler if you can't even load samples? I guess they don't want to sell it too bad. |

Last time I took a look at DW was version 1.25. And I agree that there was no preview mode (in that version at least), and "zone" parameters are overwritten/reset when loading a new sample. You definitely should post that comment and request on Image-Line forums. Registration to their forum is free. |

You may be spot on with your earlier remark. They sure do look like they don't care about getting any new commers...
Anyway if there is no "PREVIEW/AUDITION" its a no go. I can't believe why Samplers don't include such an essentail feature these days. |

Oh I see. Pity. Anyway, I can do nothing about that matter here, unfortunately...

Yes, I think you can only play back existing samples with the demo.
>2: Is it possible to "Replace sample" while in playback but also >audition/preview "In context" (Meaning any new sample will be auditioned with >the original sample paramters, like LFO, pitch etc) As far as I recall yes. [I use DW and really like it.] |
