P.S. I'm not a vendor, nor I'm trying to sell this stuff.

The above is a nice keyboard controller. However, we are showing here a DAW and plugin controller.

I see no connection.

If there's another midi controller with hardware knobs and rotary pots over an lcd screen I would like to know it.

whooah.. real physical controlers sticking out of an lcd touchscreen!!!
first I thought "wtf, that gui representation of the pots looks really 3-dimensional" .. and "how the fukc do his fingers look like they dive into the screen" until I realized those were real encoders that were attached to an lcd.

good work.. respect!

I don't know of any, but I do know about openlabs...everything in one box. I don't know anything that beats that

too much clutter in that 01v96 video

I need to watch the video for full effect.

Looks like there is much functionality...but the whole LCARS display is a bit off-putting for me. A little too Trekkie for my taste.

Just my opinion. I'll watch the vid and post again.

First, thank you all for the comments.

1) About the clutter: I know, I know, but I was alone, and I just tried to show something with a cheap camera.
2) About the trekkie: Since I did it just for personal use, and I love ST, why not? However, that's personal taste (or BAD taste Smile ). And besides, if you will do a touch screen, why not use a design that was MADE for touch screen monitors ? Smile
3) politcat: thanks for the hint. I will check openlabs!

So yeah, Trekkie Fan indeed (and TNG at that, too). Which is a bit of a turnoff for me, but if it's customizable, why not.

Just three Q's:

a) Where do we get the software for that?
b) how to create the rotary controler thing for the LCD?
c) which touchscreen LCD did you use?

If I could also control panning and volume with that controller, I'd be all game for that.

a) I wrote it. In fact, 5 programs, 2 computers:
computer 1
cubase
2 dlls inside cubase.
1 program for controlling the lcd under the encoders
1 program for rout everything, midi from cubase and tcp/ip client
computer 2
1 program for controlling the display screen and also being the tcp/ip server, and also receive the midi from bcr 2000

b) You get an bcr 2000, open it, VERY CAREFULLY remove one of the encoders with an iron solder, attach 3 small electric wires to it and re-sold them at bcr2000. Repeat for 21 more encoders.
Buy a glass panel, drill 22 holes in it, attach the encoders on the glass panel and then put the glass over an lcd screen. This is the easy part.
After that, you spent 6 months trying to make all this things work together while maintaining your sanity. This is the hard part. Don't worry of you start drooling and baubling a lot. This is part of the process. You REALLY have to worry if you wake up naked at the wolf's den in the zoo and don't remember a thing.

c) we used one from magic touch.

Panning and volume: It seems to me that you didnt watch the entire movie Smile (I don't blame you: it's boring)
There's a pan screen and the volume is already controlled by the faders on the 01v96. 01v96 have a penning encoder, but it controls only the current selected channel. Using the touch screen, you can set the pan very quickly at anyone of the 16 channels. The tricky part is to have the 01v96 and the touch screen ALWAYS in sync, so the channels names are correct all the time. Cubase already have an 01v96 midi controller "driver" builtin.

Thanks for you interest. However, please notice that I don't plan to produce more of this. I am afraid of waking up at the zoo.
