This subject comes up a lot.
Doru Malaia, sadly, isn't with us anymore... he passed away a couple of years ago. His friends/family kept his site running for a while but I don't think there's any (legal) way to obtain his paid-for samples anymore.

Wondering if you realize know Doro Malaia passed away about three years ago.
I remember some discussion about whether anyone would be taking over the sample business, but never saw any resolution to that.

I just wanted to say that Yes, You can (AFAIK) still purchase Doru Malaias' 230 ethnic drums & percussion samples. His wife Cristina still handles the sales.

You must be patient, however, as it does take some time to reach the USA. The postmark date on the envelope is 07 11 12 (Which, I believe, means November 7, 2012)

The CD just arrived today.

I am really looking forward to doing some composition with this sample library!

Thanks for letting us know. I got the 230 Ethnic set and one other many years ago. HUGE collections of one-hits, lots of variety. So sorry he's gone.

Doru Malaia lived in same city with me (Galati, Romania). I will try to find his wife to find out more.
