What's this? Finally something new on the way? Indeed, there is something new in the pipeline. The spawn if Ironhead cometh! Ironhead:Spawn is a bundle of 13 individual polyphonic synths, built from mutated versions of the original Ironhead kit instruments. They have grown, taken on lives of their own, and have been modified to be played across the keyboard like "normal" instruments. Their sound design abilities have expanded and they've been altered for a greater balance between percussive and melodic abilities. Each has their own morphing, randomizer, and delay, but the actual synth controls will be mostly the same as they are in the normal Ironhead. So they're just as fun and fast to tweak as they were before, but they've got new abilities and an expanded range. This isn't a replacement for the normal Ironhead, but rather a new product based on it. The best way to think of the difference is that Ironhead is a drum kit and Ironhead:Spawn is a whole band. So, what do they sound like? Ironhead:Spawn - mp3 Demo 1 Ironhead:Spawn - mp3 demo 2 Ironhead:Spawn - mp3 demo 3 Ironhead:Spawn - mp3 demo 4 The first demo has 12 tracks of Ironhead:Spawn plugs running in it, the second and third have 11 tracks, and the fourth has 8. All are straight renders...no extra processing applied. Expected release date: Mid July. Pricing/bundles (subject to change): - Original Ironhead + Tunguska bundle = $35 (same as now) - Ironhead:Spawn + Tunguska bundle = $35 - Ironhead Suite = $60 - includes 15 plug-ins: Ironhead, all 13 Spawn synths, and Tunguska - Suite upgrade for current Ironhead owners: $20 The Ironhead:Spawn plugs will be included in the Big Bundle too, but I have not yet determined how much it will affect the price of that bundle. Nice demo, I like this one. Simple line, but the bassline wrap is a hook of the foreboding kind I especially like and the morphing on it works really well in bringing in that extra emphasis.Ironhead:Spawn - mp3 demo 2. |

Lot of percussive class to this synthoid brood. You got the $20 upgrade on to my buy list, in no time flat. =fn<x> ---- Every Potemkin village needs its idiot savant |

=fn<x> Glad you dig the way its sounding. We're pretty much down to just finishing up the presets now, so I expect to have Spawn available before too much longer. |

These things just keep getting cooler and gaining more flexibility. I think I may take a break from sound design and see if can write another little demo today. |
