Wusikstation V5.8.2 Released. Both Demonstration and Full versions updated; included regular and WS GBox.
Just use your original V5 Download URL to reach the updated files or contact us via the support area of our site. Changes for V5.8.2
Wusik VM (VST Manager) was also updated to be compatible with Wusik Station V5. You can use the following URL to download the update: http://www.wusik.com/Wusik_VM/Wusik_VM.zip
We will also open a Public Beta for the soon to come Wusik VM FX version.
Plus, after this Wusik Station update is released, we will start working on a new update with Sound-Layer support, which will help playing back SFZ files that has multiple layers of sounds. Also, this will open some new options, for instance, you could load a WusikSND or SFZ file that has 8 detuned saw sounds, which would produce a powerfull polyphonic unison sound. The sample-editor will also be updated, so you can edit multi-layer sounds with ease. Best Regards, WilliamK Last edited by WilliamK on Fri Aug 28, 2009 2:11 am; edited 1 time in total |

New users updating for the first time. Use the Download URL you got with your order to download the following file "Wusikstation_V582_GBox.exe" or "Wusikstation_V582.exe" - That's all you need to run in order to update Wusik Station to V5.8.2

Hey William, did you ever release a Wusik Station with those oscillators?
I haven't been keeping up, so I thought I'd ask |

Just a quick update. I will work on the Unison code a bit more. As it should have 2 modes, actually: centered, upwards. Right now its centered, which can cause phase-cancellation depending on the type of sound, which is not good. So I will add the old upwards code with an option. So by default, its going to be the old code. With a click, you can use the centered code.
Centered = detunes up and down, keeping on voice centered. This results in a more in-tune sound. Upwards = detunes all voices up, starting from the first one. Can result in a detuned sound, but has no phase-cancellation problems. I will work on this and release as an additional update to this current version. Wk |

Hey William???
I'm assuming that with the next update users would have problem loading sfz's that have multiple layering and velocities or just layering. Suppose I convert a Kontakt guitar patch to sfz or Wusikstation preset format....are you saying that the update should have no problem loading that file???? The integrity of the sample/patch will remain unchanged???? |

It should be ok, as long as it doesn't have multi-layering. If it has multiple-zones or velocity-zones, its ok, it won't change the sound.

Great to hear. Can't wait for the update. I'm a heavy Reason-user, I find myself longing for more realistic samples patches without making a new butt hole. The NN-XT doesn't even have graphical sample editing...NOT THAT'S OLD SCHOOL!!!! I figured at some point that P-Heads would make a seriouis attempt at creating or hiring someone to create a decent WELL ROUNDED QUALITY sample library. Sure the Premium Refills are kick-ass but they only focus on (1) particular instrument. At $99 a pop, $300 for the 4-instrument collection, are you truly giving us aspiring producers the best tools to succeed????
Hells-to-da-no....That's why I owed it to myself to get Wusikstation. Don't get me wrong....Reason is da shit, but for strings, guitars, choirs, horns, ethnic sounds, etc.......it is SERIOUSLY LACKING!!!!!! One more thing. Wehn you say multi-layering, do you mean combination of sounds, like a string+brass+synth in a single patch???? Or are you talking about a patch with different articulations at different velocities??? Or both???? |

Hey bud, thanks for the words, glad you liked it.
What I mean is the first thing you mentioned, layering different sounds. Combining strings+synth+brass like you said. Wk |
