If you're a registered Rob Papen Albino user, you can get Rob Papen Predator (boxed version only, unfortunately) "for 40% less than the normal RRP - that's £75.00/€89.40 instead of £125.00/€149.00" at Time+Space (offer valid until March 1, 2012). |

24h deal*: Toontrack Superior Drummer 2.0 crossgrade from EZdrummer, $59 at audiodeluxe.com (register & add to cart to see the price). Boxed version as SD can't be downloaded.
EZdrummer is $59.99 if you don't have it yet. * according to the mail the "Special offer ends at midnight 02/12/12", but I suppose it's a typo. Otherwise add a time machine to the cart, too |

True, but if you happen to live outside the US, have the VSSD box and want to save on shipping/VAT, you can ask the Audiodeluxe guys to just send you the serial by email. I did so when I ordered the Metal Foundry SDX, which was also listed as boxed only and got my serial in the mail the next day. so long Andreas ---- those who live by the sword get shot by those who don't |

I tried ordering the above mentioned Predator, but even though I switched it to American currency, it still wants to tack on V.A.T. to the order (almost $34.00)
It almost negates the discount. I thought you couldn't charge VAT to non-EU customers, but because this is boxed version, could this be it? |

Their international shipping is pretty good too - I just ordered this from UK and the shipping was $19.75 (USPS flat rate small box). No difference VAT wise from downloadable stuff I've bought from them previously |

There is a huge difference in buying downloadable software from across the pond as opposed to buying physical products. I know the exact details only for buying from the US while living in the EU (for obvious reasons @Jelly - Same thing, if your package goes through customs and is valued above a certain amount, you're going to have to pick it up at your local customs office and pay VAT for the import. This is going to be calculated on the cost of the product INCLUDING shipping. so long Ace P.S.: Just so that I don't get thrown out of the Bargain Thread: Audiodeluxe has Celemony Melodyne Editor 2.0 for 295,-$ for registered customers, as usual ---- those who live by the sword get shot by those who don't |

Most of the stuff I've bought has been downloaded. I've never been charged VAT.
This is from HM Revenue & Customs own website: VAT is a tax charged on goods used in the EU, so if goods are exported outside the EU, VAT isn't charged. You can zero-rate the sale, provided you get and keep evidence of the export, and comply with all other laws. You must also make sure the goods are exported, and you must get the evidence, within three months from the time of sale. This can be longer for goods that need processing before export and for thoroughbred racehorses. |
