I like it too, but when I load anything more complex than just transistorhead into bidule, the gui does not load, so I can't do any of the recommended knob tweaking. It also conks out the audio engine every once in a while, though I can usually get it back by turning the engine off and waiting for it for a few seconds. My guess is that it is not cooperating with some other of the DC09 plugs I have loaded or else there is something up with the gui. Basically everything is set to bypass except the plug I am testing and bidule shows only 13% cpu in use with no spikes. Is there some maybe something with the graphics of the gui using a lot of resources? Anyway, I'll try it out in a less cluttered setup so I can tweak the knobs. |

hmmm, the no gui thing seems to be prob with several of the plugins. I think one plugin is causing the problem for all the others, because when I open a new patch and just load one at a time, the ones with the blank guis are coming up fine. |

hmm that sux
did you try a different host than bidule? maybe you could try to issolate the plugin that's doing it or it could be some sort of glitch in either the host or the vsts i don't usually use more than a few vsts at the same time so im not sure if i've ever experienced that i'm sorry to say that i probably won't be able to make any fixes to the vst if you find one lets hope this is caused by something else i've been kind of lazy and haven't tested the other vsts yet, maybe i'll do that tonight and see if i get a similar problem |

Transistorhead sounds really cool and original.
Among all DC '09 entries, some plugins will stay in my arsenal forever. This one for sure I bet. Thanks for this. ---- Tools are tools, they don't produce anything... |

Man, this is great. Thank you so much!
You can spend hours tweaking this, putting it through some effects and ending up with something resembling old style 50s electronic music. Think early Stockhausen or even better, Ligeti. This really works for me. Top 3 for sure. I just wish some of the knobs/text were larger. |

I solved the prob for the moment by loading plugins one at a time instead of dumping them all in the patch at once and then muting them. That way if the behavior happens again, it is probably the most recent plugin added's fault, but so far everyone is cooperating. I already deleted a whole slew of them, so hopefully it was one of them. It is a very cool plugin, definitely one of my favs so far. If I can isolate the problem I'll write again, otherwise just ignore what I wrote above |

Hi Sonicase, Just one request ... see if you can make it little RAM friendly. eating little more memory then expected. ---- Tools are tools, they don't produce anything... |

RAM? do you mean cpu usage?
suggestions: lower the number of voices turn off other programs you aren't using my modules were pretty bare minimum so i don't think there's much i can do |

Nope, I mean RAM/Memory. CPU is pretty ok with transistorhead. In Empty FLS project memory usage from 80 to 450 mb after loading only one instance of this.
May be graphics used in plug is the cause...I am not sure as I have no experience in developing. ---- Tools are tools, they don't produce anything... |

This is one of the best synth plugs ever. I never once found myself going down my checklist of 'well, can it do this?', 'does it do this?'
I just got lost in the sound. I would pay good $$ for microtuning support though. I want this in my rack, and I'm going for an all-microtunable setup. Is there a website for this developer? Thanks! -eric |

hi woodslanding,
I'm the developer for transistorhead I don't have a webpage :/ as far as i know, i think there's only some crude microtunings set up for synthmaker vsts (not like a real module specifically for it) although i seem to recall there is some midi controller software that allows you to play in different tunings and then you would just connect that to the midi in on the vst....but i'm not sure how well that would work. i would probably have to change some things with my pitchbend I can look into it, but can't guarantee anything thanks for the praise |
