Greetings to all ya fellow developers and interested people..
This is from now on the official forum for all things Prodigious.

Send me your coments, suggestions, everithing you may find useful about improving my little jewel. I ve read some reviews about it and kept in mind that some improvements are yet to be made, but the more you have to say about it, the more i can move towards a future optimisation and yes the future Prodigious will still be a free, fully functional, restriction free plugin.

So feel free to coment as Synthescience is open to all suggestions.

Till there keep on tweaking and raving..

Say like the Knobs in the Juno 60/106? - it is possible but the entire layout would have to be reworked to acommodate that. Still a nice idea for a crossbreed between the Juno - Prodigious layout. Not impossible, requires graphical work, some time but for the time being, the cpu issue is something that has to be work around first. however if the interest is much we may keep this option in mind.[/img]

oh no you misunderstand Smile

in SE you simply set an ini setting for your skin to make the mouse control radial or linear ... it makes it so that you can drag up on the mouse (with the same graphics) and it rotates the knob clockwise, or down and it rotates it counter clockwise.

not any new graphics Smile just simple change to the .ini files for your skin graphics as they are in SE.

does that make sense? it's not difficult to do from what i remember of SE Smile

it is great to hear you're so open minded about your synth though Smile i really like the GUI a great deal. i have to ask what is the typeface you've used for the label - is it custom graphics pixel by pixel the antialiasing is perfectly done and looks wonderfully readable while still being small enough Smile

É bem verdade fellow groovy.. este é um territorio que está completamente por explorar no nosso pais e é do tipo uma planta rara e alucinogenica que apareceu no meio do deserto. The typeface is full custom as it is all the remaining graphic layout.. thats why is so Prodigious...

I ve been trying your suggestion in the following way:

started with this.

; medium knob
type animated
frame_size 35,35
mouse_response rotary

then tried this.

; medium knob
type animated
frame_size 35,35
mouse_response linear

(no movement from the knob so i tried this)

; medium knob
type animated
frame_size 35,35
mouse_response vert

and didnt notice any behaviour difference from the starting settings so i guess that for now i ll stick to the initial option, nevertheless if any suggestion arise, feel free to post.

Sorry for the language for the fellow kvr members, but it's a good opportunity to exercise your portuguese! HiHi

slider
To skin a slider, you make one image with both a fixed part and a moving part. Then you use the txt file to describe it.
Code::

; medium vertical slider
type slider
orientation vert
frame_size 28,40
handle_rect 4,41,28,55
handle_range 1,26

In the above example, the whole image is 28 pixels across by 55 pixels high. The handle sits in a rectangle whose corners are pixels 4,41 and 28,55 (You only use the upper-left and lower-right corners to define the rectangle). The handle gets moved vertically in the range such that it's top row sits anywhere from row 1 to row 26 of the whole image. The fixed track part is the frame from 1,1 to 28,40.

mouse response

click
With click response, the image responds like a momentary button. It puts out it's high value and shows it's second animation frame only while the mousebutton is pressed.

horiz
If the mouse is moved horizontally after pressing the mouse button down, the Framenumber will increase/decrease.

rotary
If the mouse is moved rotary after pressing the mouse button down, the Framenumber will increase/decrease. Also responds to vertical movement but only when the mouse is centered over the image.

stepped
By clicking on the image, the next frame is shown. This makes buttons behave like toggles rather than momentaries.

vert
If the mouse is moved vertically after pressing the mouse button down, the Framenumber will increase/decrease.

this is what i've found. could you try the orientation vert with mouse_response vert?

Hi synthescience Smile

I like your Synth very much!
But I find vertical also better.
It is simply pleasant to adjust.

Dear greetings NEK-X

Just a quick note to say thanks and to let you know that the lighter version is in fact noticeably lighter for me. The first one was too CPU hungry for me to use, but this version, while still a bit high, seems manageable in the little playing around with it I've just been doing.
