This is wrong on so many levels (which is probably why it appeals to me so much http://www.skylarkguitars.com/skylark-wooden-roundback-with- f-holes-steel-strung-1354-0.html ---- RIP Black Tom and Beckett. They weren't just cats, they were MY cats, the best cats ever. |

That sucks hibidy, hope you don't have to put the Charvel on hold too long. I'm curious why you pick it over a strat?
Ian B, I can't believe they can make for 70 pounds. Nice find, thanks. Redmerkurii, hehe! I haven't seen that one before. Did you see the misa digital? hot damn! I wish I had held out a couple of months after I bought the tele. I saw a natural one within my budget in Hobart. Mine is black. That's the finish I would like too, natural or butterscotch. I guess i could dress it if I got keen. hmm maybe not! I have one of those badass bass bridges on a bass I built and have lent to a friend. It's so nice I google Vox challenger ---- Smoke the pipe of peas, human beans! http://soundcloud.com/nix808 http://rekkerd.org/nix-plugs/ Phonics Audio |

i'm gonna buy me a selmer / maccaferri model jazz clone, probably a gitane d-500 ( http://www.thomann.de/pt/gitane_dg500.htm ). ---- professional dilettante, producer, sound-designer, re-mixer, self-righteous, fail. |

The guitar I want is a Reverend Double Agent II in black:
http://www.reverendguitars.com/reverend/guitars/bolt_on_seri es/double_agent_II.html But I don't need it at all of course. I'd also like to get a 12 string electric. I don't like the feel of Rics in general, I might go for another Phantom, a PH 12: http://www.phantomguitars.com/phantom.html |

This is my current Project. I guess it qualifies as my next Guitar.
It is a Les Paul type circuit in a Fender body. The pickups are 1968 P90s. I am just about to order a maple neck with a ebony fretboard. All of the hardware [trem, jack, tuners etc] and knobs are going to be replaced with black themed ones. I am going to put a oem Earvana compensated nut on it as well. I am getting the sound I want out of the neck pickup but the bridge pickup I am going to move 20mm closer to the neck, which means I have to router a new pickguard and shield it. This one.
Never been a big PRS fan, too many compromises for my taste. But this is different, David Grissom's signature model DGT. The guy's got taste - he spec'd all the right little tweaks, basically it's a McCarty with the great PRS trem, nitro finish, special neck, Alnico II PUs, dual volume / single tone, perfectly tweaked tone / bleed caps ... And the gold top finish suits perfectly imho. One of these days ... Cheers, susiwong |

These budget guitars are my forte, tho' I couldn't in all honesty recommend anyone buy one without being prepared to spend more on a full setup to get the best out of them. ---- RIP Black Tom and Beckett. They weren't just cats, they were MY cats, the best cats ever. |
