I'm looking forward to that. |

One of mine was accepted too. Actually the 9 others which were rejected received encouraging comments, so I am not going to abandon them.
I will release my bank as it is , with no change, however I am now working on my Andromeda bank that I will be releasing in a few months containing 100 presets with audio samples from my analogue synth Alesis Andromeda A6, 10 of those 100 will be these 10 that I submitted in the competition but they will be improved following the comments I received from the robots. I will certainly try to fix those issues and make them better. It is just I am still very new with Alchemy and is very easy to get lost. I would like to thank Camel Audio for its feedback, its not so much that one of my presets was accepted as much as I got loads of feedback that will help me improve as a sound designer. Camel audio you have the permission to do whatever you want with those presets , no strings attached. I dont need money , I do this only for fun. As I said before I will love to hear what others submitted accepted or not. And I am certain that I will find loads of preset that I can use on those that was not accepted , so it will be a shame to let those get lost. Afterall one man's poison is another man's cure. |

It has been a great inspiration to me and many others I'm sure! the feedback was great and I for one will be taking it all in to account and upgrading my patches accordingly. But once this is done I would love to submit my sounds for all to hear thanks again |

Congrats Corin!
Hi CA guys, thanks for this comp. It was great fun (and for picking a few of my patches). I'll definitely take the encouraging comments on board. Most had to do with variation + source levels, so I'll work on em and resubmit asap. Cheers Camel Audio guys!! Last edited by GeorgeZ on Sat Sep 25, 2010 1:14 am; edited 1 time in total |

Awesome competition!
Congrats to Corin Thanks so much for the positive feedback and for buying so many of my patches- I was absolutely over the moon when I got my email this morning! Great feedback too, but I think I figured out something...the comments weren't really from robots were they? Seriously, Thanks so much guys you have made my week (at least, if not, a longer period of time)! Brilliant!!!! EDIT: I did actually expect the feedback would be from robots until I read it... |

Just read the mail, many thanks to the guys at CA for the great and detailed feedback, that was really instructive ! I wonder how many pizzas were needed in order to complete the job !!
I entered the contest quite late so i knew some of the presets i sent lacked polishing, and i will definetely finish them later! 4 of my presets were chosen, and i find it a great encouragement as a beginning sound designer BTW, I had two of my presets crashing reaper, did someone had similar issues with it ??? |

"A haunting set of deep space sounds with good
programming, but perhaps some would be just too abstract for many Alchemy customers" Thanks for the complement, guys! This is exactly what I want to do with Alchemy - something unusual Gratz to Winners! |

Now I'm really curious to hear what the other designers
came up with! Perhaps a limited edition library of the ninety accepted patches to each of the entrants in the competition? of mine that didn't make the cut, but for which specific advice was given, to see if they can be accepted. All in all this has been a very positive experience for me, and a great encouragement for me to continue with my sound design efforts. Thanks again for the opportunity. Scott |

Scott Great idea I will rework mine 5 rejected presets too, but I lost all the contest samples due to a hd crash. |

Probably, we could create sounbank from rejected and corrected presets for User Library.
Something like ReCoDed (Rejected - Corrected - hmm... Dedicated?) What do you think? |
