It's about time, surely?
If there's a decent review or thread then we want to add it to Linked In, or Digg, or Facebook, or Stumbled Upon etc etc Is the real estate at KVR so full of adverts there's no room for social media? Social media buttons would allow important KVR stuff to go viral throughout the web. What's the plan? I f**king hate those buttons.
In particular the popup one which assaults you when you casually move the mouse over it. |

Yeah maybe ... but a lot of people like 'em and use 'em. They've become a major channel for generating buzz with great new ideas/thoughts/gossip/news Krim Quote: twitter is up on the top right...
This is KVR's twitter, and where the social media buttons have been packed. I didn't even know it was there until you told me And this is still a million miles from me - or anyone - reading a great thread/review and thinking this should "be known", and clicking the button. fyi here is Digg - one of my favourites www.digg.com/news ---- Member 12, 8 core laptop, Maschine, Alchemy***, Massive, Taylor 814ce Acoustic Guitar, Crafter Acoustic Bass, Presonus Studio One v2 (love it to bits) RMX, Sylenth (sold), Blue (neglected), Omnisphere, DCAM, Kontakt (now upgraded) |

if done, please make their presence a default-off option in the user's preferences. ---- To laymen, software development is something akin to wizardry. Neither time, nor effort are involved. If software is missing features they want, or has bugs, it is solely because someone has been too lazy to wave their magic wand. |

I'm driving your girlfriend home.
[ ] You digg it. [ ] You like it. [ ] You add me to your friends list. [ ] You tell your buddies (so they can digg, like, add, tell too) It's so beyond me. Thanks, but NO thanks. I don't want to see this here. ---- "There's a certain detail seen here." |

I hate them too. I take pride in never having visited Facebook. Hell, I'm not even sure what Twitter is |

Reasonable. But maybe an on-option? Also reasonable? ... freddemillio Quote: let's keep those social networking buttons off of KVR.
The buttons are all part of online gossip, which is flourishing, not least in KVR which is a forum-based music gossip shop. But obviously forums aren't the only type of gossip shop - hence the buttons. A zillion people who've grown up in the digital generation like them. It's not just under sixteens. They're twenty five now - and they use these buttons every day to tell people about what they've seen on the web. ---- Member 12, 8 core laptop, Maschine, Alchemy***, Massive, Taylor 814ce Acoustic Guitar, Crafter Acoustic Bass, Presonus Studio One v2 (love it to bits) RMX, Sylenth (sold), Blue (neglected), Omnisphere, DCAM, Kontakt (now upgraded) |

Polite Request: Would any of the members not wanting button implementation care to put their age when they reply, or indicate their age group?
It would be interesting to see how much the age demographic affects this. ---- Member 12, 8 core laptop, Maschine, Alchemy***, Massive, Taylor 814ce Acoustic Guitar, Crafter Acoustic Bass, Presonus Studio One v2 (love it to bits) RMX, Sylenth (sold), Blue (neglected), Omnisphere, DCAM, Kontakt (now upgraded) |

It would be interesting to see how much the age demographic affects this. Quite relevant. Marketing loves people 30 or under. They will not care about where money goes, whether a gadget (software or hardware) is value for money or works well/is secure as long as it looks cool or is new and has street cred. Us guys in thier late 40s, are bitter and twisted and suspicious of everything |
