I could think of quite few things. However, part of the genius is in it's simplicity so I hope it doesn't stray to far from that path. But maybe some aspects of patternarium creeping in wouldn't hurt at all. You know, sketch out a bar or two and see what M3 comes up with for variations on the theme. Or maybe some different waveform options. Whatever it is I hope we don't have to wait until next summer for it. |

That kind of info is just as useful to competing developers as anything else. Native Instruments for example announced that maschine will be hosting VSTs in a future update. An update not due until februaryish, after beta testing, if I'm not mistaken. But the timing of that announcement was about a week or so before GEIST was due for release. Maybe a coincidence, maybe strategic. I figure it's the latter. I think knowing microtonic3 is being betatested is enough without going in to specifics. I can't wait Does anyone know if there will be a grace period for folks who only bought microtonic in the last few weeks ? |

Probably true. But since you brought it up... Who would Microtonic's competition be? |

But there aren't that many drum synths. And most don't compete with Microtonic directly. |

Closest competition to microtonic is probably tattoo, but even then its iffy since microtonic is less traditional. ---- Software, Modular, Elektron. FS: Prophet 08 PE KB |

But there aren't that many drum synths. And most don't compete with Microtonic directly. boring line of discussion is BORING. the point is it's not safe to assume you're the only one coding a drum machine, and dishing out release dates isn't as risk-free as you'd like to believe. Take Urs of U-he for example. Hasn't he already expressed that he is seriously considering coding a drum machine ? Soniccharge have NOTHING to gain from announcing release dates, but potentially something to lose. Likeliness doesn't come in to it. |

ya, it's just a plugin, so just wait until it's released and don't nag for dates. |

holy shit I'm excited about this update! I'm hoping that mute groups will be implemented cause that's the only thing I feel is missing from this. That or a gate mode where you can have a sound cut off at the end of a midi event. If any of you beta testers are on hear and it's not to late to discuss additions you should put a bug in the programmer's ear about this. I've used this on everything I've made since I bought it years ago and this is the only feature I've ever desired since the addition of the individual outs.
I just can't say enough good things about microtonic! I even lost my registration code a few years back and bought another license when I built a new computer just to support the product. ---- Don't F**K with Mr. Zero. |
