A Pity the Fish Had to Die
1:02 / 1.5MB or so

mp3.................................ogg

I felt like messing around with the komuz my sister brought me when she visited this summer, so I threw together something to play over. It's nothing exciting and it is quite short, but in its sloppy way it is pretty, I think, so someone might enjoy it.

Used: MU.LAB, SONEQ, GHi, QB3, SIR 1, acoustic guitar, komuz, kid's shaker and tambourine, toast tongs played with headphone adaptor, SP B1, contact mic. Oh, and Audacity.

Quite a lovely little piece. The komuz sounds great, almost banjo-like. Cheers!

cool looking instrument, I had to look it up.
what kind of wood is it

Post

nice rambler of a piece there; good for coming back home from a long trip type of music.

Post

Very nice little gem. I like the almost-country/folk vibe. Very well structured composition and good expressive performance.
Cool stuff

Cheers

Thanks, jmeier and Laguna Rising.

wavephonic, I'm not sure about the wood. A friend told me but it almost immediately fell out of my head. I emailed him but haven't heard back yet, so for now "the woody kind" will have to do.
