Hi (I've edited this quiestions after I did some more tests):

A question concerning Kontakt INstrument banks addressed by "mind control":
Has anyone run into the problem that midi velocities are in an instrument bank only working for the first slot?
(edit:) Here's the procedure to reproduce the error:
- put a sound in slot 1, and one in slot 6, switchable by keys
- at first, the sounds play nicely like they should,
- then after once switching between them, the sound in slot 6 won't react to velocities any more. Only one fixed value is played.

Now this is true for mind control with some LASS sounds I tried
It is *not* true with other libraries such as the Kontakt library
It will *not* happen it I throw the Mind Control skript out and switch between the sounds by clicking with the mouse.

Another Edit:It has nothing to do with which slot I use, seems that some LASS sounds are incompatible with the script. E.g. cello FC pizzicato.

thanks for any sugestions - Uli

I'll check into it to see if I can track down a problem with the velocities. There was a few small bugs when using some 3rd party libraries, and they have been fixed and will be released with the next update.

The update will be released within the next few weeks, hopefully. There are a lot of new, big features, which is why it's taking a while. Smile

great news !
sorry for my poor english...
I have a small question with the random condition: how to use it ? I'm not sure to understand the "in" and "chance" numbers and if the random condition must be on each layer or just one. could you give me an exemple ?
it could be very useful to have some example on how to use each condition in the manual. This is a so powerful script, I'm sure i don't use 20 % of the possibility.
thanks a lot for reading

Thanks a lot that gives me hope... too bad I have to somehow throw it out of my current setup, but no big deal.

best

Here's how the "in" and "chance" work:

A 1 in 2 chance means that the layer will happen 50% of the time. 1 in 3 means a third of the time it will happen. This system of specifying the random chance basically allows you to get a very precise randomness.

You use this condition to introduce an element of randomness into your Mind Control mappings--that way layers might not be triggered always.

Can you confirm this problem with LASS and other libraries is fixed? Otherwise, I'm looking forward to trying it.
