Weird that no one posted anything at all about it for many months too. Anyway, fwiw, dont forget the amazing shit that came out of the DC. I still use some stuff from past DC's pretty regularly. maybe it was blocked by the big companies... ---- "For some reason everyone on this site hates Roger Nichols, loves Zebra, doesn't need a Virus (unless it's TI), uses Reaper, and thinks the Kaoss pad is cool: remember these rules and you'll be popular." A conspiracy!?
I dont know if KVR would be prone to such influence. (Although if it were, holy shit that would be a shame.) And I doubt the big guys would have that much motivation. If I were a 'big company', Id use the Dev Challenge to see if there was someone I should be offering a job. And If I found out that every dev from the challenge had been hired by a 'big' audio tech company, that would be at least a little consolation.... The lack of interest makes me think that there are fewer new devs coming up who are eager to have their stuff showcased to the public. Or, things are skint all over and no one wants to give away the hot ideas? Or no one gives a shit. At all. Ever. Forever. |
