I don't know how I missed this thread.
I'm excited to hear that it's a limiting tube compressor. I'm looking for something I can slap on every one of my busses in my default project Warming up my PayPal account now for the launch Will this one be x64 at launch or do we have to wait? |

hmm...
I would rather have seen a full configurable compressor than a limiter, but maybe this will be useful too. waiting for sound demos now I guess this is not really related to roundtone/presence? Cheers, Doc Some customizations of the hardware include an attack time control, but it really is different from the original concept (a limiter), so we preferred to keep it coherent and keep the real nature of the device. One "custom" control has been added, anyway. That "Hold" knob really makes wonders Working on first sound demos and comparisons to hardware. Yes, it is in a different line, no link to Roundtone and Presence (a special mastering limiter coming in that range The pricing will be in a similar range, anyway, even though this project involved more people and so it is a bit harder to keep at that low target |

Thank you Nielze, I was a bit sceptical about extreme 3d until I saw that meter moving in the studio |

Does that mean that oversampling is always activated? If so, will this introduce latency? Yes, oversampling is necessary because the device saturates a lot when pushed hard. The delay is about 5/10 samples.
Thinking about a draft/HiQ switch, not sure... |

hmm I guess it depends on the cpu usage.
If it's quite high with oversampling it might be cool to have a similar feature like in roundtone where you can oversample at offline rendering only or alternatively a global "Oversampling On/Off" setting that affects all plugin instances. Anyways it would be cool to have a "soft bypass" inside the plugin when introducing latency to avoid crackles during A/B comparisons.
