I was wondering if there is a way to record the response of my api,a&h,ssl, midas, eq like I do in q-clone and summit up into a plugin that would work at 24/48 or 96 with no latency and to sound the same as the q-clone plugin, that REALLY recreates the hardware, truelly catches the Eq curve and all the phasinng issues(the sound)of my hardware EQ's.
Anyone???

If doing linear stuff - impuls response will do it.

But if to capture dynamic non-linear stuff like the mentioned plugins do I am thinking about Nebula.

It kind of merges many impule responses as I understand it, to emulate hardware including dynamic behavior.

But what I heard it's really a cpu hog. Don't know about latency and stuff though.

It's unclear to me what Q-Clone is capable of really, if handling dynamics. Doing eq is one thing, but dynamic and distortion(non-linear) I have no idea. Looked at the demo but was not convinced what it does.

I also remember a thread here at KVR about a guitar tone emulating device, hardware one, that were capable of transferring your own playing to a tone you were taking from a recording of a guitar. I don't remember, but it was really expensive stuff.

Very Happy The truth is that no matter what the q-clone does it sounds just like the hardware - exactly the same!I use it for eq-ing in daw,by sampling the hardware EQ and even adding more bands to the equalisation, as I can olways ad a new capturing after te snapshot was taken. But, it's a non real time plug so I can't use it with some of my other software that I prefer for live mixing. Sad
