I want to create some midiChords preset files using Perl. What is the format of the XML preset mapping file? I took a look and the Preset tag is just a long string of digits. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

By the way, midiChords is the bee's knees. Smile

The XML format is what Steinberg "Chorder" presets use. I reverse-engineered it so midiChords could import them. If you really want to know how it works, look at the readChorderPreset() function in MidiChords.cpp...

trackzone, I ended up using the midiChords .chords file format in my Perl script. That is how I created the "Major, Minor, Harmonic Minor Chords" and the "Bach Chorale Chords" banks.

Here is a link to the banks:

Let me know if you're still interested in the ".chords" script and I'll post it here.
