Hi,
I just bought a new PC (Windows 7 - 64 bit) and was able to install all my old (Windows XP) plug-ins except my beloved Grandelectrix. I ran the setup but get the message towards the end of the installation process that installation was not successful. Please help. Thanks, Matt |

No help from me I'm afraid.. I just clicked "support" for the very same issue.
However - finding no help here, I will try to use my jBridge wrapper (a must on 64bit machines these times). If it works I will post here again. |

OK - tried it, and GrandElectrix is playing fine.
Here is what I did: I'm running Cubase5.5 in my Win7 64bit. I've got both 32bit version and 64bit version of Cubase side by side (for compability reasons). I tried to install from an update first.. it didn't work. So I went back and installed the first version of GE, I tried it with Cubase 32 bit - and it worked. Then I updated GE to the latest version. So at this point I've got a working GE on Win7 64bit running inside Cubase 32bit. Then I launced Cubase 5.5 64 bit - and there was no GE to be found.. obviously this plug needed some treatment. I then started my trusty jBridger and voila!! jBridger made a 64bit plug of GE for me.. and everything is now working smooth as a babys bottom. Nice. |

OK. Finally. I got it to run. After downloading the software plus update, I started Sonar X1 Producer (I put the file into my Program Files x86 folder) and was able to load it into my DAW. However, I couldn't hear any sound. I shut Sonar down and the next time I held the shift key down while Grandelectrix was loading in order to locate the sound file. A windows popped up which I used to navigate to the sound folder. That did the trick. |
