Is this really me or have I been taken over by aliens?
Wires
Ogg (of course)
or
mp3 (ish)
Hmmm.
This may need more work.

It wasn't me! (well, actually, it probably was) - apparently now an 'elderly' so maybe I forgot!

Awesome!
I love the digital pads in this track!
Really great, spacy atmosphere!
Cheers

Folderol goes ambient prior to releasing a 3-disc "best of" tarnce compilation!
Astounding sounds. Amazing music.

Think that might be a while yetseismic1 wrote: Folderol goes ambient prior to releasing a 3-disc "best of" tarnce compilation!

I've done a bit of tweaking (same links as above)
1st sound has a bit of EQ to take out a bit of the sharpness.
2nd and 3rd sounds come in more slowly
Final chord fades out much more slowly.
For anyone interested this is 100% Yoshimi.

this is quite beautiful (and well recorded and the synth sounds have room to breathe)

Woo! Lots of luverly comments. Fanks
@Gucky
Glad you like this. All done in a single instance of Yoshimi. There are actually only 6 tracks.

Extension? Back in yer box, you!
I enjoyed this. It alarmed my cat (maybe the now-tamed harshness? I'll check out the new version later), but he's an old square.
Thanks, folderol.

Listened to this again last night. This has more of the coooool factor. This change of style was completely unexpected but you handled it like a natural.
I might have to dig out my ZynAddSubFX (I am a latent appliance fetishist, after all, with the emphasis on late). I have a couple of Linux laptops at home, but as I do lots of sysadmin stuff at work, the last thing I want when I get home is to start messing with system configs....
When I get my MacPro, I may have to reconsider that last statement!
Keep up the good work. I hope you occasionally revisit your new musical stamping ground. (Not the best idiom, but you get the idea, I'm sure).
Cheers

Thanks again people.
@ D.H. Miltz "It alarmed my cat"
Wow! best handle it very carefully - would make a mess if it went off
@ seismic1 "I am a latent appliance fetishist"
Well that's a new one! Do you get treatment for it - I'd try for a government handout to 'manage' the addiction
I've no doubt I'll do more work like this, not really sure when though. I very much play my current mood, but I do find bits of more experimental ideas start to creep into my 'mainstream' compos.
