Hi,
We're really pleased to announce the first public beta release of CamelSpace v1.50 & CamelPhat v3.50 today. Please ensure you read the information below to avoid any issues with these updates. These are free updates to all registered users of CamelPhat and CamelSpace, and include both RTAS and 64-bit support for Mac and Windows, new filter types from Alchemy, better preset organisation with new presets from our sound design team, MIDI program change, new LFO shapes and many bug fixes. See below for the complete list of new features and bug fixes. Please note: these are public beta versions of CamelPhat and CamelSpace. Although the plugins have been thoroughly tested by Camel Audio and our beta team, and we have made every effort to ensure backwards compatibility, the possibility of bugs still exists so if you are in the middle of an important project you are advised to wait until the official release is made available before updating. If you are willing to help test CamelPhat v3.50 or CamelSpace v1.50 simply log in to your Camel Audio support account to download and run the installer(s) for your system. Windows users will need to download the 32-bit (VST & RTAS) and / or the 64-bit setup (VST) files. On Mac all version are contained in a single disk image (DMG). Important Preset Information
See below for a complete list of new features and bug fixes for both plugins. Known Issues
Questions and Bug Reports For installation problems you will get the quickest response by posting in this thread. If you find any bugs please report them by following our Bug Reporting guidelines, and post them to FogBugz. We would like to send thanks to the beta testers who have helped us test these updates over the last few months. Happy sound mangling! Peace, Camel Audio. CamelPhat v3.50 New Features

The preset menu is not reading folders, it's creating a sub-menu for each bank file (*.fxb) using the name of the bank file. If you look in the data folder for each plugin you'll see files similar to:
Bass.fxb Drums1.fxb Drums2.fxb etc. etc. these are the same names (minus the file extension) used for each of the preset menus. To create your own, copy one of the existing files and name it something like "MyPresets.fxb" (or whatever you want the menu item to be named). If you want to clear the whole bank you will need to: 1. Select MyPresets -> First Preset 2. Click Preset Menu -> Clear Preset 3. Next Preset 4. Repeat 5. Save the bank when done But there's not really any need to clear a bank, unless you're a perfectionist To name presets select a slot, make adjustments and then "Save Preset". The name of each preset is based on the FXP file name. Alternatively, if you have some .fxp files saved already simply load them in to each slot and the name will be updated. Make sense? Peace, Andy. |

We'll make an empty bank available from the User Library - I just haven't got around to doing it yet ... Peace, Andy. |

Yes, that's the plan - probably Monday. Because it's a free plugin, lots of people will download immediately which may mean a lot of extra support work over the weekend. Peace, Andy. |

Great News !
Thanks for Camelspace x64 ! Installation went smooth, and I gave both versions (32 and 64 bit) a very quick test run in Cubase 5 (32/64 bit) - no showstopper so far - great ! Only one little thing I came along in that short time - with the flanger I get some audio crackles while changing the delay and also the depth parameter. Maybe this could be improved ? BTW, with this public beta - should we mention bugs in this thread, or with your bug tracker site ? OK, thinking further - comparing CamelSpace with Alchemy's features - would it make sense to implement the "Drive" parameter to the Filter Section ? Reverb - possible to implement the "Acoustic Reverb" of Alchemy as another option ? would it make sense to implement a visual feedback to which step sequencer step is active just like in Alchemy ? (If not in this version, maybe in a V2 ?) Just some thoughts I came along - anyway, I am glad you haven't forgotten your other gems besides Alchemy. Thanks and Best |

That's good to know, thanks! Quote: with the flanger I get some audio crackles while changing the delay and also the depth parameter.
Maybe this could be improved ? This also happened with the previous versions but I will ask if it's possible to make some improvements for the final release. Can't guarantee anything though. Quote: would it make sense to implement the "Drive" parameter to the Filter Section ?
Reverb - possible to implement the "Acoustic Reverb" of Alchemy as another option ? would it make sense to implement a visual feedback to which step sequencer step is active just like in Alchemy ? (If not in this version, maybe in a V2 ?) Actual GUI changes - new knobs (which a drive parameter would require) are not possible in this update but we'll certainly consider for v2. As for current step - again, I'll ask but I think it will have to wait ... Quote: I am glad you haven't forgotten
