Is the Arturia Moog the key for this? or other vst suggestions?

Arturia minimoog V would definitely be capable of those sounds. Perhaps a little saturation on it to dirty it up. Omnisphere has plenty of soundsources to get that kind of sound as well.

Caine,
Don't you have omnisphere?Trillian is a good source for synth bass.
I would go With dcam synth squad, poly anna, or opx pro II, over the arturia stuff at this point. The arturia synths sound dark compared to the synths I mentioned.I like the atruria synths.I Layer arturia minimoog, with opx ,to brighten up the sound.

The lead in the first track doesn't sound very Moogy to me. Sounds more like an Oberheim

i just checked omnisphere and yes it has some oberheim, moog stuff etc. , but for the 1st example what soundsource should i use and how to make it sound like the first example? still learning a bit of synthesis but a professional hint would be great so i can how it is done and try it for other sounds .
oh and can you hear the notes played?
i tried to play the melody (not complex though) but somehow doesnt sound like this one.
bpm should be 145!

Your in the right ballpark with the sounds. You just neede to make them dirty now.

hmmm how you would make them dirty? perhaps within omnisphere or standard vst plugins.Acid Mitch wrote:Your in the right ballpark with the sounds. You just neede to make them dirty now.

I dont know Omnisphere.
I'd recommend amp sims, tape sims or anything like that.
If your using standard overdrive/distortion just use mild settings
You want to rough things up a bit rather than mangling things.
