Latest News: MusicDevelopments updates RapidComposer to v2.06

Hi,
The 2D view was a great Idéa, Im not shure the new GUI is better,Overall the new GUI is more confusing... Remember: The composition layout is 2D where you see the composition line by line instead of the usual 1D view of DAWs. This layout is more suitable for composing. Of course 1D timeline can also be used. The structure editor lets you add or repeat lines and verses. This is true. Why changing the guy instead of fixing the tons of bugs? I use rapid composer on Mac and is unstable as hell, It can crash many times in one hour of use! In fact it crash more than V1 in my setup. What about the vst version for Mac? Anyway I think this soft can be a great tool for composing. I hope you will fix the problems soon. Regards, David |

Please send me the crash dumps that you get on OS X.
Can you try this: on v2.05 you can disable the fade in/out of the panels (or shorten the time) in the settings. Can you disable it and see if the program becomes more stable? This would be a big help. I suspect there is a race condition during animations on the UI, e.g. during fade in. A new update is uploaded as soon as this is fixed. About the 2D view: people usually tell me what they don't like, they rarely tell what is good. So far you were the only one (ok, maybe there was someone else too) who wrote that the 2D view was useful. Thanks, Attila |
