Hi,
I have just released an alpha version of my new freeware combo organ plug-in called Combo Model F. It is modelled after the Farfisa Mini Compact, a transistor organ from the 1960s. If you would like to give it a try, then you can download the VST or AU from my company website: http://www.martinic.com/combof/downloads/ Do remember that this is still only an alpha version, so not all features have been fully implemented (namely: Extended Bass [added in v0.8.3]), and others may not be functioning 100% as intended (Multi-Tone Booster round voice seems way too weak [fixed in v0.8.2]). Nevertheless, should you run into any problems with "ComboF", then please let me know, so I can fix things in the next version. Meanwhile, have fun with it! I was actually looking at my Farfisa VIP 255 the other day (the electronics need work) and thought about what became of this plugin. I checked out the site and still no update, so I figured maybe it wasn't happening.
So I'm THRILLED to see a beta! Thank you very much. You have the best Vox Continental organ around IMO. |

Hello and thank you for another fine emulation. I have no idea if Model F sounds like a Farfisa, but I like the sound. I also experienced some wierdness on startup, but after going into the setting all seems fine.
If i could make a wish for your organs(F and V). I love the ability to adjust the tuning in the settings view, to me(a slight detuning)really makes these come alive and sound much more natural to my ears. I would really like to be able to change patches without losing the tuning. Or possibly store and load tunings seperate from the patch. ? |

Thank you so much for these excellent instruments! Donation just sent…
Like the V, the F AU loads without problems in DP 7, which can sometimes be finicky (witness the problems with VB3, for instance…). Thanks again! /Joachim ---- If it were easy, anybody would do it! |

I guess I could add another toggle switch that locks the tuning. Spitfire31 wrote: Thank you so much for these excellent instruments! Donation just sent…

I just realized that you can alt-click and drag to do random tuning! Way Cool! Thats pretty much what I was requesting, so your way ahead of me.
I do like the idea of a lock switch. Thanks again for your efforts on these! |

Yeah, the new ComboV features have also found their way into ComboF. You can also do Shift-drag to move all tuning slides at once. MRT wrote: I do like the idea of a lock switch.
I think it would be nice to be able to lock the tunings in live situations, especially if you have just tuned the organ to an acoustic setup. |
