Hello! I'm Dmitry Sches and I proud to introduce new software synth - Diversion.

Diversion is a versatile, comprehensive synth, which you could use in any genre of electronic music. Detailed description and demo version you could found at http://www.diversion-synth.com. Here is a quick link to audio demo at soundcloud: Diversion VSTi Audio Demo. Here is an alternative link to the demo: http://www.diversion-synth.com/Diversion_VSTi_Audio_Demo.mp3

In short, the synth is not lightweight, in terms of CPU usage. Instead, development was concentrated on the sound quality. The main goal of Diversion is to provide pure high frequencies and extremely low level of aliasing. Another major feature is the unison, covered the full signal path. Be careful, unison produces the clean sound, but it is the most CPU-sensitive module. There are many other features. You could visit the website to learn more about them.

Currently, Diversion has only Windows 32 bit VST version. x64 will be released soon and then I will start development of MAC version.

The demo version is 100% functional, only the noise sample is played every 90 sec. The full version costs $200 USD. But, this is the first synth I released. And I think it would be great to launch the introduction sale. So, the price is $150 USD for unexpected period.

UPD. The version 1.01 is available now. You could download it from the website. The update contains critical fixes and several user's requests from this thread.

Your comments are highly appreciated,
Regards,
Dmitry Sches

Hi
This seems to be a quite powerful beast, with a nice gui (which reminds me a bit NI Spark ?).
What are the demo limitations ?

Thanks, sinkmusic! Sorry, I forgot about limitations. The demo version is 100% functional, no trial, the noise sample is played every 90 sec.

Indeed. You managed to make it easy to undertand in an eyeblink even with so many parameters and features, it looks good and the GUI structure is wel designed.
I think it is quick and pleasant to tweak !

Btw, where is the value numerical info? I turn the knobs, but don't see anywhere value displayed.

What shape was used for the decay - linear or Quad? Kinda abrupt. Why not to add exponentional?

May MSEG be used instead of AMP envelope?

One screen GUIs rock Smile Also it's very clean and somehow it invites (at least me Very Happy) to create some presets, to spend some time with it. That's a very good thing

also I like surprises and this synth, coming out of nowhere (at least i didnt know anything about it), is just good news Smile

Looks good. I guess Army green is ok.
Generous demo limitations.
Entry price seems steep but maybe not.
I'll try it later, thanks.

Does it install anything into the registry (or pgram files/roaming data/my documents/whatsoever) ?
Or could it be a simpe .DLL to drag/drop ?

Thanks for your pleasant comments!

Currently there is no numerical display for parameter values. It will be included to the first update. MSEG can't be used instead of AMP ENV because it doesn't maintain the release stage. Decay and release curve is cubic, but I'm thinking about implementing more flexible curves with the exp rolloff.

No, the synth doesn't use the registry, but it uses "my documents" folder where the patch library located. The synth can be used as drag on drop DLL, but in this case the factory library will not be available.

Of course, the MAC version will be started with intro price too.

Nice sounding synth!

I looked at the website and did not find a specs list. For example, what are the various filter types? Also it says you can chain up to 8 effects in the fx module, but no list of the available effects...

Thanks and good luck with this synth.
