Hmmm....I wouldn't be so certain. BERFAB wrote: The K8U hard drive is not meant to be run as a permanent nest for your libraries. The files on it are bound to the installer and you must designate another location for the libraries (a dedicated outboard hard drive is recommended). You'll need about 200 gig for the library files. All other install, .vsti and application files go directly to your C drive. Once you're done, just pack up the drive, and there's your backup. |

I'd like to see a special "vintage" edition on 1.44MB 3.5" floppy disks. That's about 170.000 disks - a floppy tower of 561m height, weighing just over 3 tons*.
* assuming a disk is 3.3mm thick and weighs 18gr. |

Continuing on that: assuming that the average sequential transfer rate is 70KB/s and you manage to change floppies in 2 seconds and you do 12 hour shifts, you'd be done with the installation in about 91 days. Of course, if you convince your girlfriend/wife/dog/etc. to change shifts with you, you can enjoy K8U in 45 days already. Hm, what was the average capacity of a punch card... ? Maybe we can translate K8U to "square kilometers rain forest". |

Installation was right around 2 hours on my computer... however I'm not seeing Retro Machines Mk2 in with the other Kontakt Libraries, anyone know where it gets installed? (Ultimate upgrade version) |
