Just curious, what do you find lacking in the current DAWs? I mean, I've made and am working on tools that work in or alongside DAWs, but I feel like working on the "total package" as it were is more trouble than it's worth.
Certainly, you could offer greater integration between the plugins that you have made already. Or is it more just to create something that's a bit more wholly yours? Best of luck, of course! |

OK SNS & AbstractCats,
ur testers sure. Hmm Jonahs, it occurs to me I have built all the components for a simple DAW, and now with Usine I can integrate them, actually more easily than with another DAW, I think(?). Anyway it will be fun, and I will have the sense of accomplishment. Personally I use 3 DAWS & 3 sound editors, so if I can minimize that it would be good. I use Acid,Orion & modular(Usine/eXT) + SoundForge,Edison & Sync(Sync is my build) There is,if successful, also the opportunity to make some dosh. I hope it generates a little talk at that ---- Smoke the pipe of peas, human beans! http://soundcloud.com/nix808 http://rekkerd.org/nix-plugs/ Phonics Audio |

OK,
Synergy it is. I'm still getting it together. My sequencer is finished I think. It is quite good. At say 480 bpm the timing beats a little, still ironing it out. Peeps who want to beta test, i still intend to mail u the first beta, sorry can't promise it will be soon coz I am in a music-making, not developing, frame of mind. They say good things come to those who wait though! I hope it's true in this instance. Cheers 8D Oh, I got the Casio MT-40 hardware, it sounds killer, will make a sweet VSTi. It's nice to have it and the FujiTone in there. They are totally different sounding. The FT is 4-bit I think, while the Casio I dunno, but not as digital. I'll get the work in in the next months/years. ---- Smoke the pipe of peas, human beans! http://soundcloud.com/nix808 http://rekkerd.org/nix-plugs/ Phonics Audio |

Unfortunately coding them in is beyond me, and they can't be distributed digitally as is! I have to amend my techno statement I guess. I should include a pack of Rizla with every box. ---- Smoke the pipe of peas, human beans! http://soundcloud.com/nix808 http://rekkerd.org/nix-plugs/ Phonics Audio |

Hey any chance I could take a look at the VST's? It would be great to see how they are and how they sound! If I like them, how they sound, and the interface, I would love to do some sound design for this one, for free of course, make some patches and give you them so you can release them later on when everything's done |

So the Rizla will be kingsize right, original "No.1 in Nigeria" style? What's up with this project? |

It's still coming together.
I have perhaps 10 modules being improved on concurrently, so yeah, it's gonna be a while. hmm, it's probably best not to release anything too buggy. http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=324431&start=1 05 There is a screen on page 8 of this thread. Stay tuned, sorry to the people who want to test, just give it some time. ---- Smoke the pipe of peas, human beans! http://soundcloud.com/nix808 http://rekkerd.org/nix-plugs/ Phonics Audio |
