These plugs aren't exactly new, but I found no thread when searching for them in the forum.
Filtox, Corvex and Ecox. http://www.samplitude.com/de/audio-plug-ins/vintage-effects- suite.1622.html
Just wanted to give a little praise for ths effects bundle, especially the Filtox plugin, which is one of my favourite tools to mangle sounds Unfortunately they are only sold together as the suite bundle, but if you are on 44.1 and only use presets, you can simply use the demo versions (I did so for a year, before I bought it). c/r though :/ But I come back to Filtox again and again. ---- new Dusk to Dawn Song ! correctly tweaked, ecox make a fantastic reverb, although it's not first intended for. Use it on each project. |

Magix plugins are superb and high quality. Without any exception.

since getting samp I really only use magix pluggins, I wish mine were vst but that's okay. Of course I also have VANDAL which is the best itb (imo of course) guitar/bass amp plug and there are more plugs than the three listed above ---- I never learned anything from being right Hink 2012 RIP Reason L. and Ian B |

Cool, thanks for the kind words.
It might be pure coincidence, but I'm knee-deep of porting all current projects and the the AM/VE suite plugins to 64bit (and Mac later on, when x64 is done, although schedule isn't final yet). The suites will get a huge rework (+ a bit of add-ons here & there). I still think Corvex makes a simple, but cool reverb: set up voices to 6 or 8, push 'complex', and you have a standard FDN (Householder matrix), adjust 'span' for the least echo overlap (->ringing) and there you go. |

Do your 64bit porting projects include Vandal, Sascha? |

I'm patiently waiting to be able to buy the Analogue Modelling Suite Plus and finally use am|munition in Albeton Live within my workflow ! By the way, your eFX Tubestage looks tempting too. But don't know if it's worth the price if you already have am|phibia ?! Just wondering. Hope that in the first half of 2012 it would be sold separately from Samplitude... Keep up the great work ! |

1) Vandal will be included in the x64 porting scheme
2) Rework means GUI change, adding the XML/file-based preset architecture to the old plugins and a couple of DSP add-ons and new params (yet to be defined) 3) I don't know about major version change yet, if it's a free update for AM/VE suite owners or not. It's not up to me to decide :/ 4) The eFX Tube Stage is 'killer', to cite one of our testers. The whole eFX series do cannibalize my prior work to some extent. They're simply newer, the world just keeps on turning. The eFX Tube Stage uses the same tube algos as Vandal, whereas am-phibia uses code which is somewhat different. The sound is also different, but that certainly depends a lot on the surrounding parts in the plugin as well as the source you throw these at. Am-phibia is a huge and versatile beast, whereas the eFX range is much simpler to use and more predictable. Offers some surprises, though. We'll sell the eFX as a VST bundle (PC/Mac) later on, I guess that's no secret, whereas we have no precise dates yet, other than 'out when it's done' |

You made my day ! Patience is a virtue, of course.
I'll be getting the new "major" versions as soon are they are sold separately. Keep us in touch from time to time |

Well I just noticed that the am|munition included in Samplitude Pro X is from December 2007.
I mean the last update, considering what's written on the plugin's GUI. So I imagine that even the "non separate" versions of your plugins are not yet updated for Samplitude users. Just saying |

Sascha, I remember that when Slate Digital FG-X was released, you did a comparison with am|munition, using the "new code".
I mean you said you were using a not yet released version, featuring enhancements to the algo, to makes it even better at keeping the punch while being loud. Is that still in the works for the forthcoming updates ? |

Yes, all the suite plugins currently get a complete rework, including all experiences I've made on the way. Finishing that takes a bit of time, though, since I'm migrating them to the eFX/Vandal code architecture right now (including the xml-based preset architecture, the VST2.4 SDK (was 2.3 before), a new GUI library, and Mac- & Win x64-ready). It's what we call refactoring. Before, each plugin was a bulky & monolythic code project. But AM-Track & AM-Pulse were first created in 2003, when I began creating plugins for Magix, in the same funny way as with my freeware plugins, and it was unforseen where we'd end up with... (I can easily count up to 50 plugins here meanwhile) Now, doing those extra efforts, each of them is technically pretty much the same as adding a stomp box to vandal. I can now 'create' a new 'suite' plugin within 5 minutes, and it then shares the main code of its brothers/sisters and inherits all necessary mechanisms automatically (which are already tested and working). For the user, that means we can keep things as bug-free as possible and ensure fast updates and feature enhancements. Those technical background stories might sound boring or unspectacular for end users, but for a developer, it's one of these things you need to do from time to time: rethink your work, put it to the test and not be afraid to trash old habits and start over again fresh. It might keep you busy for quite a while and stop you from actually releasing stuff quickly, but in the end, it helps being competitive and keep up with the fast-spinning outside world. I've made changes/additions to am-munition a while ago, and I'll put these to the test as soon as I got that one running on the new architecture. |

Alright, sounds great.
In fact is more like porting the code over a new common framework first. And next adding feature, tweaking DSP algos and so on. Keep up the good work ! |
