another upbeat number from the House of Traps Wink

well, i suppose it's dark ambient-ish... but don't let that put you off.

it's the first thing i've done in reaper since switching from live.

i hope you enjoy it.

The Space Between The Days (5:53/320kbps/13.5MB)

thanks.

neil.

Beautiful amorphous sound shifting, and those great little noise beats, everything tied nicely together with the relentless pounding of the kick. Nice change of pace and very much enjoyed over here. Thanks Neil!

Very dark indeed Shocked

It created visions of somebody running happily through a delicate field of daises, only to then be pursued by a herd of rusty robots with dubious intentions.

very nice. really enjoyed the contrasting moods and the subtle ways in which you brought elements in and out of the piece. i recall making music that sounded sort of like this a while back and it was very difficult to find that balance between too much going on and not enough. you've struck the right balance.

This begins with a fairly chilling soundscape which was later hijacked by a lumbering giant with a big drum, exhorting his buddies to join him in raiding the defenceless village of Poik. The locals never stood a chance. As the dust settles, a scene of desolation is slowly revealed before I adjourn to the fridge for a cold one.

Nice work Neil. Shocked

Wow, it really is like a movie, but without the video. Very haunting, yet intriguing.

Dense and dark, shifting landscape, one's feet aren't to be trusted. Lovely unloveliness. Thank you.

thank you all for listening and for your kind words Hug

@D - lovely unloveliness Smile yeah, i think my head is in a pretty shadowy place.

@seismic - the village of Poik was asking for it.

@jopy - i've really been enjoying the automation in reaper. i love having everything in control to the nth degree. how the hell did i manage without bezier curves?

@iDumi - i'm glad it sounds like a movie with no video. that makes me happy Smile

thanks again folks,

neil.

wow

very full! Pleasent sounds.
I love the atmosphere you put together here
It would work very well in certain movies.
For some reason Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind came to my mind.

liking the didgiri sounds you are coming up with, some great metallic washes. Don't like the lofi crackle, but that is just me.

Cool stuff. Like the ancient primal feel you have been getting into your tunes I have listened too this last while.
