Any suggestions of sample packs with similar tonality to this wonderful wonderful voice? Begins at 2:12 for the impatient types ---- "I was wondering if you'd like to try Magic Mushrooms" "Oooh I dont know. Sounds a bit scary" "It's not scary. You just lose a sense of who you are and all that sh!t" SoundCloud Last edited by Mushy Mushy on Mon Oct 29, 2012 7:02 am; edited 1 time in total |

At risk of giving away my new secret weapon in the quest for realistic vocal wailing, check out Realivox:
http://realitone.com/ It's a brilliant set of samples, which can be played legato style and therefore achieve a vocal wailing type sound. The demo "desert voices" on the above site will give you an idea. Needs Kontakt 5 (edit: it also works with Kontakt 5 Player which is free for use with this library). Peace, Andy. Another one to check out is Forgotten Voices - Cait from 8DIO / Soundiron:
http://8dio.com/?btp_product=forgotten-voices-cait More abstract phrases compared to of the Realitone library but no legato mode (which is quite a unique feature). Peace, Andy. |

http://realitone.com/ NICE!!! - thanks When the page first loaded, I was teleported to a drive-in burger joint in the 50's, and anticipated a girl on roller-skates dashing over to my car to take my order. ---- Perception is the ultimate "reality" ~ but not, the ultimate Truth. |

Andy, these are ideal.
However, I've since had a sanity check and realised I shouldnt be starting yet another track I MUST finish the current ones first. I MUST finish the current ones first. I MUST finish the current ones first. I MUST finish the current ones first. I MUST finish the current ones first. I MUST finish the current ones first. But the girl sings to you when she brings your order! Funny that the artwork gave you that impression, because more than one person has told me that the anime girl gives the wrong impression of what the library is about. I suppose I should change it, but more "serious" designs always seem so boring to me. I love the anime girl. But . . . I also love making money . . . so . . . |

(does she have a sister?) I should have clarified the Realivox (logo) "font" (w/*stars*), and general color scheme were nostalgic. ---- Perception is the ultimate "reality" ~ but not, the ultimate Truth. |

Ah, now I see what you meant. You're right, the logo definitely has a nostalgic feel. I was going for a space age retro lounge vibe when I did that. Don't ask me why, given that there's nothing particularly retro about the library. |

Sea of Bliss Sweet vocal!! I'm less oonvinced aout the Vocal instrument though. I think I'd have to say phrases are more interesting to listen to than single tones..RealVox works is well done. but you are not going to fool many with that technique.. ---- waves break, but somehow it all makes sense. |

Not that I wish to steal money from developers' coffers (especially Mike, as I know how much time and effort he put into the fabulous Realivox), but have you considered using a real vocalist?
There are loads out there looking for collaboration projects. Just root about Soundcloud and send some messages to singers you like. It really can be that simple. |
