Hi there,
Im currently studying music technology and for one of my projects i have to create a set of audio plug-ins on sonicbirth but i have encountered a few problems along the way and i was hoping to get some help. I have already produced a phaser and a multiband reverb unit with a feedback loop but i have had trouble working out how to make a 5 band EQ unit. Any help at all would be great. Thanks. Giles |

Yeah! me too! Uh... I could help I guess. I have been using SonicBirth for a couple of days, but if you're just creating this from scratch, then I need help as well...
For starters, there is an AU that you can open that does this. hit [command] + [shift] + O and go to the folder that contains the components made via SonicBirth and select 5 band EQ, that should give you some ideas! What you'll need: Parametric eq; 3 sliders for each band; an input and an output. toothpaste. Set one of the sliders max value to 10000 and name it freq, set the other max to 15 and min to -15 and call it gain, set the 8th and final one's max to 15, and min to .3 duplicate and enjoy! If you were to make it from scratch, I don't know how to make the filters... |
