Loving Punch, but some things that might be improved on:
1 Mousewheel scroll support in menus. Yes it works in Savihost, but not in my other hosts Reaper, Cantabile Lite and Minihost. 2 Global output channels lock So that when auditioning sets, the snare goes to the same channel etc etc. 3 Easy soloing and muting of pads Right clicking or ctrl-right clicking of tabs would be the best, as it is now where one has to open a tab, and a then a roll down window is way too cumbersome. Solo/mute I use all the time and should be very quick to get at. 4 A way to assign midi keys to pads Standard and GM are fine, but really would prefer to have the option to set this myself also 5 A way to use effects as sends An option to use effects as sends would be very useful. 6 Automatic note names I can make my own templates of course in Reaper, but maybe an idea to have Punch automatically name notes so that it's there in piano roll like Geist and even ShortCircuit2 do. 7 Change position of the quick preset selector The quick preset changer that is now top right in the pads tab would be best right above the tabs to stop excessive mousing back and forth. 8 Tab buttons enlarged Make the whole text area clickable instead of the tiny buttons. There is an empty strip of space above where the tabs are now that could be used, but imo best would be to have the tabs in between the lower and upper screen as that's where the cursor is most of the time. 9 Tab buttons missing in preset manager Only a tiny button to close the tab in the far side of the VST is a bit impractical, easier to just switch directly to the new tab. 10 Skinnable or at least change the knobs Knob setting can be quite tricky to see if the notch is in the 'shadow', would really prefer a 'light-circle' or whatever it's called like in Predator so it's easy to see at a glance what's what. 11 Open preset manager tab is not remembered. So that when reopening the Punch GUI, I'm back to that tab. Works for the other tabs. |

Hi there
That's an interesting list, some of these features I plan to have in the next update which should be out before the end of the year, some others maybe in later ones. Cheers Jon |

I saw the latest (unnanounced?) version 1.0.3 has custom MIDI note assignment and also mute/solo of pads (via a menu), thanks Hope you still will consider implementing a faster way to solo/mute, but I'm very happy the feature is at least on the pads now, makes it so much easier when drum editing - using it a lot. |

Hmm, quicker solo / mute, that is something that we may put in, but as always we would have to consider how the implementation would fit with the current setup.

I would like to add an FR for a modification in Latch Mode.
The first time a specific key is pressed triggers the Groove, the second time it stops. (At the moment, the only way to stop a groove in Latch Mode is to stop all using the Latch off button). |

I'd like to be able to copy and paste drum pads.
I want to right click on Kick drum pad 1 and select "Copy", then right click on Kick drum pad 2 and select "Paste". Is there ANY way to do this in the manager? When i go to "Drum Preset" and copy and paste, it asks for a name, then does nothing. Is it actually copy and pasting a PAD when I do this, or a whole preset? |

That is an interesting idea, about the pad's , something I will look into for the next version of Punch. About the bank manager, you are copying & pasting presets, not the actual pad sound, so I think it's probably needed.
